El-rufai Threatens APC Over 'betrayal' by DeLaRue: 11:20pm On Mar 18, 2022 |
APC's Buni saga takes a another turn with 'Arise News' reporting that Mallam El-Rufai has issued a furious statement alleging greed, selfishness, and incompetence, and saying that 'betrayal begets revolt'. First, Mr Akeredolu said some of his fellow Governors are Yahoo Yahoo. Now Mr Rufai claims some leaders in APC are greedy and incompetent (ouch!). Mr Tinubu said he would fight dirty. Mr Rufai has followed suit with his own threat to revolt and throw a spanner in the works. APC, what the hell! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjPtLgZ37Jo |

Ekoblendedsince: I thought there were 2 camps before. Mr Tinubu's camp and Mallam El-Rufai/Amaechi camp. Now, it seems there are at least 3 camps. Tinubu, El-Rufai/Amaechi, and Buni/Malami. The Tinubu camp must be smiling as the opposition is divided. 4 Likes |

El Rufai is feeling the heat and feeling left out in the power tussle... That's Buhari for you... He is for nobody and for everybody If you ever doubt Buhari's love for betrayals as a Fulani man then ask those who served him as military head of state, his allies in ANPP and CPC people like Col Jokolo, late Gen Tunde Idiagbon and his Family, Buba Galadima, his late first wife Hajia Sefina Buhari, Aisha's billionaire political family the Ribadus of Adamawa, Late COS Abba Kyari's family The best thing any APC politician can do right now is to ignore Buni, Malami and Buhari and work independently for their political survival Buni is just a messenger working for a VP position or second term ticket . 2 Likes |

DeLaRue: Even Buhari cannot get Amaechi APC ticket. What many don't know, especially you a supposed insider, is that most APC big boys dont trust Buhari's ability and judgement as an election generalissimo or Party leader. Amaechi and El Rufai are jokes to them also. The APC movers and shakers know the candidates who can lead them to victory and keep them the ruling Party of the biggest black nation on Earth. That is their main concern, they will fight for, and not what Buhari wants. APC presenting Amaechi simply means the ruling Party wants to hand an easy victory to PDP to then become a small opposition, smaller than APGA or KOWA even, after every influential member has left APC in disgust. They will never let Buhari get away with it. Rather, many will leave APC and cut side deals so they are relevant in the new PDP government that will take over in 2023. 5 Likes |

post=111162720: Fear permanent interest more. No rigging can make Ameachi or any other lightweight defeat Atiku and PDP. The permanent interest of most APC big boys is that their Party remain ruling Party of the biggest black nation on earth. I have gotten nothing wrong so far and will predict confidently again that many will fight tooth and nail to defy Buhari so as not to go down with his personal desires and conviction when Mr. President is virtually out of the door. Impose an unpopular candidate on APC and the Party implodes same day. 2 Likes |

Dsalvo:Mtcheew. Wrong analysis. 2007. Was Yaradua the strongest candidate in PDP? Who knew GEJ then? Do you know how many people defected from PDP after Yaradua emerged? The president holds the aces going into next year's election. He will decide who APC's candidate will be. Those who will leave, will leave. It doesn't change anything for buhari 2 Likes |

tinsel: Indeed. All PDP members will celebrate lavishly when that happens. A cheap and undeserved return to power for PDP courtesy of the President of a ruling Party who may be the worst politician in Nigeria's history. |
Re: El-rufai Threatens APC Over 'betrayal' by Nobody: 9:02am On Mar 19, 2022 |
Agbegbaorogboye: Lol. You want to compare Yar Adua's 2007 to now and today? Some of you sha. Aside that, is Buhari anything like OBJ? Did Saraki not openly bamboozle Buhari, working with PDP, to become Senate President with a PDP deputy President? Such has never happened in Nigeria's history. What happened to Saraki? Nada. It took Tinubu to hand Saraki defeat and send him to political oblivion so APC could have it's own Senate President in PMB's second term after Saraki had been a needless pain in the azz, courtesy of Buhari, for 4 years. No disrespect to Mr.President but politics is not his thing and politicians know this. It is why Saraki quickly dribbled him. Also, Governors have gotten much stronger and more influential from the days OBJ was impeaching them for fun and bullying everyone. Nigerian politics is very different now. No single strong man can get his way like that anymore except he is someone others genuinely respect and like. The President does not hold the aces as you simplistically put it. At least not to the extent of being allowed, needlessly and egotistically, to destroy a ruling Party and the career of many who will feel his action is unfair, dictatorial and entirely insensitive/disrespectful to the needs of others and best interest of APC. If Tinubu is someone hated by his APC compatriot then different. Rather the man is hugely popular and loyally supported. Making what Buhari and a few are attempting to do very unpopular. Buhari can try it na. He is the President and of course he can. Yet APC's implosion will be far bigger than what we saw happen to PDP under GEJ. Buhari has not acted and yet there is so much bad blood and friction. This tells you that anything other than what is best for the Party and majority of her members will be wahala. You think APC legislators who unanimously and openly endorsed Tinubu offically are not bravely sending their own message to Buhari? Everyone knows Buhari is opposed to Tinubu but this has not stopped big Northerners openly supporting and campaigning for the man in defiance of our outgoing President. Don't let your hatred of individuals blind you to the obvious. The 'saviour alagbara' you are all desperately making Buhari is beyond how his APC political compatriots view him as Party leader. He is a general whose troops will not trust to lead them into war because they fear he will lose them a war that should ordinarily be very easy to win. 6 Likes |

DeLaRue:Sani Bello is strong ally of Tinubu and Buni has been his ally since the time APC was formed. Buni started avoiding visists and talks abt Tinubu to avoid compromising his position as caretaker chairman of the party. A week before he left for medical trip Buni was with Tinubu at Abuja. |

Dsalvo: I like your analysis though. You people seem to forget that such alliance has never ended well. They can betray him at the last minute. Bet me! The North Tinubu relies on will be divided if eventually gets the ticket then worse if PDP presents an Atiku. The SS and SE will massively vote against him for what he did in 2015. Even in the SW, he can't win 90% there too so what are we saying? |
Re: El-rufai Threatens APC Over 'betrayal' by DeLaRue: 11:28am On Mar 19, 2022 |
Dsalvo: Haba! Where did I say I was an insider. I even said I couldn't vouch for the truth of what I was told. I actually agree with you that many of the big players will eventually ignore the President's dictat and do their own thing. That's already happening. Earlier in the week, the President issued the 'London letter' reinstating Mr Buni, and directed that all the infighting and name calling should stop. Yet, 2 or 3 days later, Mr El Rufai fired his own salvo, calling some of his colleagues greedy and incompetent. He clearly didn't listen to the President. I also don't believe Mr Amaechi can win an unrigged primary or presidential election. |
