codemaniacs: what are you even saying, is it not the failure of our Dm, and defenders that fails to cover that guy, still Okoye follow the ball, would had save it too, only for the ball to boun6in his front, he even got a hand to try divert it, but his touch was not strong enough, yet you all wanna crucify him 4 Likes |

do4luv14: Chief, here is a link to the match to refresh your memory. Yes, there was a small bounce of the ball, but it did not deviate the trajectory of the ball movement. Okoye's amateurish initial movement in the wrong direction lead to us conceding that goal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2R5gd4BcZI |

[quote author=chidi1 post=111168807]I swear if I were the Ghanian coach my instruction to ALL my players would be simple, "shoot at sight, they don't have a goal keeper."[/quotethis he's going to be our hero ,,,,,,] |

On a serious note, I feel like you guys are not taking this Okoye guy's problem as seriously as it merits. This Okoye guy has a problem with goalkeeper ball positioning . Please rewatch the above highlight attached. You would notice that even in the first goal attempt by the Tunisians, he was poorly positioned. Were it not for the defender that cleared the ball, the Tunisians could have scored in the first half. All his goals conceded while on Super Eagles jersay are very "soft" goals. If our defenders ever have a bad day, we are doomed (the Sierra Leonian game comes to mind). PLEASE REMIND ME OF ANY WORLD CLASS SAVE OKOYE HAS EVER MADE. In general, I know goalkeepers get better with age. Okoye is only 23 years old. He would get better with time and there is a potential. However, the Super Eagles is not were you learn your craft. It should be were you display it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: This then agrees with the fact that ur assertion is wrong.. Because you said that "What you earn in football has a relationship with your quality." Rushford earns more than Mane Shaw more than Cancelo Maguire more than Dias De gea more than Mendy We all know the better player |

mostob: Okoye has brushed up his saving gloves as well Partey wey no sabi shoot when he dey wear Ghana jersey go suddenly become David Beckham for qualifiers, but Okoye go shame us. Person wey no know go think say Okoye never get clean sheet since he returned to his club. You people are sure Okoye cannot get better or did not get better, but Partey has gotten better. Then even worse, because Okoye will shame us by conceding, our entire forward line will also be very useless and will not be able to score against Gianluigi Buffon that will be guarding Ghana's post. Is Ghana's goalkeeper better than Okoye? Is it only Partey that will play against us? Everytime one player is constantly harped on for a match, that player always disappears on the day Abeg make una allow person hear word with Partey. If dem score us, we score them back. Na only one goal Okoye chop for AFCON in open play and he faced better players than Partey, Partey no score one goal for AFCON, and he no face any better goalie. Make una mention better people abeg 11 Likes |
