Google search from a non-medico for PLAB 2 (Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board)

Where can you take PLAB 2?
PLAB 2 is held at our two assessment centre sites in Manchester, UK:
https://www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/join-the-register/plab/plab-2-guide/when-and-where-can-you-take-plab-2

A bit of 'contradiction' from community site. Seemly, the well intended was not 'sustainable', ala Cambridge and London.

PS: Naseer's post was circa Feb 2017.

In a nutshell, Manchester is it.

A non medico won't understand the point

Please I need help urgently, is it possible to make available the funds u want to use and sponsor someone in the persons account. Has anyone done this before, and was approved a visitors visa.
I am applying for my mum, I made some large deposits in her account last year, can I say the money is a gift deed for her application to the UK. I am in the UK and would like to sponsor her.

Good day ... Pls am so sorry, I wish to visit my fiance who is studying abroad. I wish to stay for about a month or two, but I will like to know the possibility of this wish happening and the procedures needed to take for it to happen.

Thanks in advance.

Goodmorning, Please I need advice on this because am kind of confused here. My husband and daughter are still waiting for message from the case manager to submit their passports for visa after a successful administrative review, but my sons vignette is expiring on 28th March, i have called and mailed to see if they can answer my hubby and daughter on time so that they can all come in together but the insisted It takes within 8weeks and this is 7th week. Now am planning on applying for my son's vignette replacement but his TB cert wil be expiring 27th March, do I need to get a new tb cert? What can I do now?

Good morning all, my mum was refused visa earlier. So we are trying to reapply.
Her formal application I stated she earns 2.5m per year, but it was a mistake. Can I change this amount to 1.5m? Will it cause queries.
Also they queried the large sums sent into her account.... Can I say its a gift deed for the journey to the UK? I planned sponsoring this 2nd application unlike the first one. We actually need to explain what the large sum of money sent into her account is for.
One 1m was sent to her account 2 consecutive times.
@amelia and others pls reply.

u can.. however the success of the application is not about the sponsor, it is about the applicant. You have to prove to the ECO that this is not an intending overstayer. Circle the application around why this person must return to Nigeria..

Mistake was done when he first got the passport. Being it was just the month there was no concern but now every possibility he will come to further his education and all documents carrier correct dob with month just passport with different month. And also cost of changing then was high so he thought of tuning it til it expires then change to the original.

Why not explain the mistake when applying for visa since all other documents are correct?

Which airline accepts unaccompanied of 5year old?

Yes, include her back statement especially her pension account even if the closing balance is not much.
My mum is also retired. I always submit both her pension account and savings account statements, including the house documents that both my dad and mum built together. I also submit my salary 6 months payslips and my statement of account too, and will say I will 100% sponsor her trip with £1,100 as she will stay with us. She has never been refused and this is her 3rd visa. Best of luck.
Thanks so much

Not fixed. Depends. I got mine in 10 days. My daughter got hers a week later - although we applied together. We found out our visas were approved same day but her passport was sent a week after mine.

A 5 year old is a minor and must be accompanied. My 16 year old son cannot travel alone and has to be accompanied by either or both of his parents. I doubt if any airline will accept a 5 year old ... Ask though. It might be possible.

Why is he changing his date of birth? If he changes this, he has to explain it in his application so that he is not seen as misrepresenting himself or trying to deceive the ECO.

He should not try it. Honesty is the best policy...

Contact UKVI via email, you would pay £2.74 and they would notify you if they have reach a decision on your application. No point in tracking this on the TLS tracker.

Call. You will be informed if the visa has been approved

My advise: don't send large sums of money into her account. Let her run her account normally. Her account balance does not really matter. As her sponsor, write a short letter to confirm you are her sponsor and you have enough funds to pay for the visit and her living expenses while she is in the UK. Then, add your statements of account and other supporting documents. I have sponsored a few people and I never send money into their account. From my experience, there is no need to do that and it just makes the ECO unnecessarily suspicious of your intentions. My two cents...

Good evening everyone,

I have a question, my sister is trying to apply for a standard visitor visa. My Uncle also resident in Nigeria is the sponsor, but she is also planning to use part of her saving for shopping in the UK.

How many months account statements should both of them produce as evidence of funds when applying?

I will appreciate if I can get a response.

Six months should be fine. I've used four months with no issues but I prefer to use six months. I used four months when I started a new job and I hadn't worked for six months before I applied. I got the visa. My husband usually provides statement for one year as he is a businessman. Generally, six months is fine. Good luck!

A quick question please, for someone whose visa is been sponsored, can the part where the amount of money the person intends spending in the UK personally be written as zero since the person is being sponsored financially or should we just write something down?

call the airlines yourself. pre covid i did unaccompanied minor travel for 12 and 13 year olds and it was fine. Not done for younger ages. This was pre covid times in 2020. You need to contact airlines directly, not here. I can’t remember the age they start from

Most airlines do, KLM am aware of, but you would have to pay a minor service fee. And like suggested, you would have to call which airline you would like to use, to know what are their terms and conditions for such services.. However if possible, i would suggest you wait a bit to see if the dad and sister met up with initial travel plans..
