Teemenzo: @Teemenzo Thanks for your response Yes the similarity in refusal grounds was obvious. I worked on the reasons from the second application's gcms with a LOE but the VO questioned the purpose of visit. 'Purpose of visit' was the only refusal reason for the third application. A senior person thinks I should go for a masters in probably ba cos of my experience as a manager/supervisor in a small-scale food processing enterprise since 2016. I have been getting admitted to health and safety programs (PG certificate for the third one) which is closely related to my bsc. VO from second application: "The applicant's plan of studies appears vague and poorly documented given applicant's last level of studies obtained in the field and applicant's employment experience, purpose does not appear reasonable" Could it be the study gap? graduated 2014. Career progression? Relationship with my experience? Or pure oversabi VO? |

Hullo all. I'm planning on applying for a study permit for January as I don't think there is enough time for September and I don't want to go through the hassles of admission deferrals or starting online. I have someone willing to pay my school fees for me in my chosen institution from their own account (a one year Ontario post graduate certificate). After that they will boost my account balance to about 9m, Is that enough to apply as self sponsored? |

Please, can someone help me with the new portal link? My brother wants to apply for September. Please , thank you in advance |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Osemigho: 3:07pm On Mar 19, 2022 |
BenedictStinson: 9m is too much self if you gave paid full tuition and a single person. You are not self sponsored because you did not gather the money yourself. Don't shoot your leg. Collect all the neccessary documents to prove your sponsor's financial ability and your relationship with the fellow. All the best. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by BenedictStinson(m): 3:59pm On Mar 19, 2022 |
Osemigho:The person paying isn't a direct relative and I heard that normally raises flags in sponsorship. The plan is to get the receipt for fully paid tution and he then funds my account up to the said amount(he is a close friend of my dad and family. We even call him uncle though we aren't related) |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShowYoung: 4:02pm On Mar 19, 2022 |
BenedictStinson: In theory, it is enough. In practice, it is not enough because no Ontario College offers paid tuition or entrance scholarship. Hence, you'll need to calculate your total expenses as tuition fee for a year or two if the course is two years + $10,000 living expenses or ($20,000 if you're staying for two years) + some change to provide for miscellaneous expenses. For courses lasting more than a year, IRCC states $10k as living expenses + one year tuition, but to be on a safe side, show them two year tuition fee and two year living expenses. If after calculating this, and it's equivalent to #9m: then, you're good to go. |

SeyiMiilan: That's a generic response, its not the reason. Let him screenshot the letter but concealing his personal detailsvon the letter. Also he should order for his GCMS notes. |
