Lol Ubunja, it's not about whether I want to cook or not. I hardly ever cook for my family, but in the rare case I do, the rave, fun, happiness and fun the family experiences, even days after the cooking event, is very different from enjoying a meal at a restaurant.

Does that make me simp?

Many married women I interact with often discuss the fun in their homes when their husbands cooks, and would prefer this experience than eating at a restaurant.
These are women who literally worship their husbands.

The purpose of the gesture is not to relieve the wife of any duty, as she will still partake in virtually every part of the cooking process, but for the fun of it. Everyone still knows their roles.

Some of the most fond memories I have today were of my dad and grand dad cooking for the family. We still talk about it in the family till today.

Like I said earlier, it just entails a man applying wisdom on when to do this, the rate and the type woman married to.

How I judge these things is like this: What has your woman done for you that is traditionally your role and it was fun for the whole family? Do such events also happen Or it's always you crossing the gender roles.

The easiest way to live is to always match a woman's energy. Or give back less than what she's giving.

I know how happy I feel whenever she does some of these traditionally male roles in the family, when she can.

generalizations are fine because the majority determines the rules. If 8 out of 10 women like pie, then we'll say all women like pies. Why? Because statistically speaking, a man has more chances of meeting one of the 8 who like pie than one of the 2 who don't like pie.
Even yourself you'd have to agree that your wife is an outlier, not many women will do what she has done for you and chances of guys here meeting one like her are not very many. Hence we stand by "don't do it". Look at your married friends, I doubt even those men around your circle have women like yours, what more of guys out here.
