If it happens, then Eguavon don score u another one cheesy..

And it will further validate his claim that he didn't recall Onazi himself..

Onazi keh! Dropping Onazi and Echijele from the national team was one of the better thing Rohr did while in charge..Those two were becoming a liability in the team... How he came back is very very shocking! From Saudi second division!

Ghana was expected to crush Comoros and make it out of their group, but Comoros mercilessly crushed Ghana.

Now, the Ghanaians are confident they can win us, they are even talking about surprise lists and making plans for how they will lure Lamptey and Odoi with World Cup qualification

So, you expect all of us here to start predicting failure for the team because AFCON did not work out? So if you apply for job and they reject you, you will not be optimistic during your next application? Na so you think say people suppose dey live life? With great expectations of failure?

I'm convinced most folks here aren't following what the Ghanaians are saying ahead of the match..Their level of confidence is way ahead of ours...
Normally, they don't like us, so they can't admit that we have the superior team right now..

It's going to be a dirty affair in Kumasi...

Guardiola no dey eye Haaland again?

I don't trust that man with African players

Rumors have it that we are sealing Haaland but it is not yet concluded.

Until then, I believe Osimhen is in the picture. His work rate will fit in perfectly. That is why I used if.

I know Guardiola does not have a refreshing history with African players but I believe it is down to tactical adjustment. I feel Osimhen will adjust well under Guardiola.

Let us see how it plays out.

A serious coach will know the Ghanaian team list is 90% of those who participated at the afcon. Apart from Kudus and few others, you can prepare with their afcon squad. There won't be any major changes
Even their starting 11 will have 2 or 3 changes of the team that played against Comoros

I also think their team wouldn't change much from AFCON. This is about the weakest Ghana team we have faced in a long while.

The Tunisia game has given them a lot of optimism.

We need a positive result away to make the home game more comfortable for us.

Very dirty affair

The Ghanaians have been talking a lot of smack on the internet, but people are here telling us we should be humble.

At least the Tunisians displayed humility before they eliminated us. This one is equal braggadocio

And now, their journalists are all posting the news of Osimhen's brace and the people are accusing them of spreading fear and maintaining their arrogance.

Set pieces is not Nigeria's weakness please, unless you guys are writing about Enyeama's Nigeria.

The last time we conceded from a setpiece was AFCON 2019 to the best of my knowledge and I don't think Ghana has anyone as good as Mahrez taking set pieces

You people are shaming me with these takes.
In 2008 And 2010 AFcon Super Eagles lost to Ghana 2-1 and 1-0 respectively in those two matches super eagles conceded via set pieces in 2008 Michael Essien score via heading and it is not Enyeama that is in goal that year but Austin Ejide and in 2010 Asmoah gyan score via set piece again thou it is Eyeama that is in goal Super eagles play better that year

On a norms if super Eagles can defend set piece attack against Ghana Black stars of Ghana did not have an attack that can score two goals against Nigeria.

It is not even the same personnel

Imagine going to play Manchester United and then pulling up stats from their games in 2011.

You cannot make set pieces your top priority for a team that does not concede set pieces. Aside Musa and maybe Akpeyi, there is no other player from 2008 or 2010 on this team.

You cannot use a game played by Enyeama and Echiejile to face Okoye and Ekong. You work according to the strength and weaknesses of the players you will actually face.

And after they scored and started shooting from outside the box, how many entered?

Did they score everything they shot from outside the box consequently?

We lost because we did not equalize.

We did not lose just because they scored us one goal.

If you do not score a goal you will lose a game and it will be a well deserved loss.

When you finish your own ranting, it is still Okoye you will see at that post, then you will realise how useless your ranting really is.

Make una better accept what you cannot change, because all your complaints will not amount to anything. Okoye will start the game, bother yourself with who will be closest to the Ghanaian net.

Safari girl, we have had aguements in the past in this forum. I intentionally avoid replying your statements because it is usually plagued with sentiments and insults to the person. However, I would reply this your argument with just FACTS. As I anticipate your usual response.

1. It is a fallacious assertion to say that you would only win a game if you scored more goals than your opponent. Some teams only need to score once and the lock the shop (as seen in the Tunisia game). Soccer, as you would agree with me, has become more tactical. The premiership winning Leceister City tactics come to fore.

2. Again, as you would agree with me, soccer is a TEAM SPORT. You are only as strong as your weakest link. At present, the glaring weakness in the SuperEagles TEAM is our goal keeper, Maduka Okoye. Ghana is very close to Nigeria, both geographically and culturally. There is a very high chance their coaching crew know about this deficit and would exploit it to the fullest during our next match.

3. The advantage we have with the current Super Eagles Manager, Augustin Eguavon, is that he listens more to the sentiments of the Nigerian populace, more than any foreign manager would. I believe if a concerted effort is made by the general public both in discussion forums and in print media highlighting this deficiency, he would take note and make the needed adjustments. Hence, rendering your final premise of immutability of Okoye as the starting goal keeper, also fallacious.

I look forward to your usual response......

If I have had a disagreement with you, I assure you, I do not recall it because I no dey record anybody dey keep them for mind like that. I say my piece and keep it moving

Anyway, since you are responding to something that was not directed at you, I will choose to not respond to any of your points.

I have given you two responses on this topic alone and I believe I have made myself very clear. If you are too adamant to understand my point, I hope you sort yourself out.

Neither of us is the coach and nothing we say here will determine who the coach starts, but you can continue to complain if it makes you feel better.

Go and update yourself... Hughton isn't the chief coach..He is the technical adviser... Otto Ado is the one in charge of the team..

And Hughton is nowhere near world class..He was caretaker coach at Tottenham and has spent most of his career managing in the championship...
World class coaches are the one coaching top tier teams in top tier leagues and winning trophies...
When I say world class (thank you for the emphasis- technical advisor ) im not comparing him to guardiola, tuchel, mohrino, etc but he has played and coached at the highest leagues as far as the sport is concerned. He is one of the few blacks to have coached in the premier league. He was the caretaker coach of Tottenham at a time. He has been voted Championship Manager of the Year twice: in 2010 while at Newcastle and in 2016 for his work at Brighton. I think the has a lot of experience about the game.
Compare him to Eguavon, eguavon apart from coaching one south African club has been coaching gombe utd, enyimba etc. He has never played or coached in a top 5 league. Is this the resume needed for Nigeria to make an impact at the world cup? So I was calling Chris world class when compared to eguavon.
Why doesn't Nff hite a coach that has coached in thr top 5 leagues likewise?

What are you talking about man? While the first part is a truth statement, the second I am not sure I am following. Are you suggesting that the African players that were part of his 'not so refreshing' coaching career were certainly not able to adjust tactically? cheesy. You are obviously stuck between the fact that you are in awe of Guardiola's supposed 'tactical genius' and your desire that our best players play for the best.

You can see that in this article Chris is described as one of the most underrated coaches in England. The Ghanaian FA were in search if a top class coach that could inspire confidence and respect from their players and rebuild the team, that's why they involved Chris hughton. It shows you how much they want to be at the world cup. We Africans are behind tactically and we need to do more in tactical education.

I once read in Spain, before a player moves from most academies to senior football, they have over 700 games, tactically analysed under their belt.

In academies in Spain, UEFA pro licensed coaches coach them.

So these players will have an edge with respect to tactical acumen.

Which makes a coach like Guardiola to prefer them. Not that he has a thing against African players.

I am quite surprised that you consider this article useful. Apart from the fact that the author recounted his stints at various clubs in the championship and the fact that he led Brighton to promotion. I do not know where the title 'one of the most underrated managers' fits in. When we are unable to roll with those at the top, we resort to using some of these vague titles such as 'underrated' to comfort and remind ourselves that we belong. cheesy. I am not sure how the 'underrated' title can be scaled generally unless you are talking about world-class players/coaches. 'underrated' is definitely different from 'world-class', even though you could discuss underratedness amongst world-class players.

List of Nigeria's striker must include Osimhen. Players like Ighalo, Musa ,onazi and Shehu should not be anywhere near the S.E.

Nigeria currently has a golden generation and Eguavoen is messing it up by trying to "make everyone happy".
