TheGoodJoe: Osimhen is not a Guardiola player, he is not as good on the ball. He is more of a Liverpool/ManU or maybe Arsenal type player with their more high tempo/direct/counter attacking styles. |

Anyone who is still holding hopes for Olise, please stop wasting your time. In 2019, before he became the star he is currently, he made a post celebrating Mahrez’s free kick goal against us, saying [quote] “We are going to the finals!” Obviously, the post has long been deleted to avoid controversy so you won’t find it on Twitter again but that’s just to let you know where his personal allegiances lie. 2 Likes |

I'm not totally sold in okoye...but you guys should chill... the guy is doing a good job at his club with his young age... Even inyama has been beaten by cheap goals and set pieces. 1. Angola slapped us in 2006 with set piece 2. Egyptians used short to almost blind Enyeama at afcon 2010 with loads of goals 3. Kenya humbled us (defending champion) with a breathe taking free kick in Calabar 4. Inyama allowed in a very cheap goal against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa World Cup qualifiers. So you guys you free okoye... He's a young and vibrant goalkeeper for the future starting from the here and now Just take a lookout at the Ghana version of okoye...wollacot abi wtin b him name... correct basket but yet the ghanaians are so determined that they will beat us on all the social media outlet.... Whereas one of our top Nigerian fan base site nairaland is filled with all sort of pessimist claiming to be football analyst pointing out baseless and dry fault from one player to the other... 8 Likes 1 Share |

Talent had been the most important factor for players for a very long time. The South Americans dominated partly because of this and the immeasurable determination, which became a culture. They found solace in football. It worked. They were tremendously successful, and that culture continues to turn out players with some talent and the will to get out of their situation. They were ahead of others with respect to that pervasive will. This teaches us that sheer will is an incredibly forceful trait to have. With some talent, the will instilled by the culture could carry you very far. The Europeans were not as motivated. They were content with dominating in other areas of life. The more sophisticated technical development that we are talking about has only been recent. Now we have a situation where talent is nowhere as important as it was. The importance of tactical input and technical ability have be on the rise for a while now. In fact it is becoming more difficult to tell talent apart from technical ability. For example, Messi is what you get when you mold a highly gifted player in an environment that encourages technical development. I wasn't even only talking about Brazil. There was a time when the championship of the world cup was alternating between Europe(Germany and Italy) and South America. But that has changed in the last 20 years. It is possible that there has been a change in the requirements for success in football. Perhaps the South Americans are still ahead in tactical know-how, with respect to coaching and game schemes, long term and short term. But for technical development, I am not so sure. yinkeys: Croatia that reached last finals don't have more talents man to man than this Senegal side. Imagine Mandzukic, the European Choupo-Moting, leading their line. Senegal have a world class GK, a world class CB, a world class CM and a world class WF. The rest of the squad isn't bad either. They have the right blend of physicality and technicality in their players. All they need is a solid coach with tactical prowess and they can go far. 1 Like |

Please, please, away with this. Is Uzoho not only one year older? . Besides, that's not the point. Okoye is a ready-made basket. When he's in and there's a dangerous advance by our opponents, he creates the impression that he will fumble it somehow. . This is not to say Uzoho is any better, because I watched our last group game in the nations cup, in which he featured. There was a sequence, where I thought Uzoho was a potential basket too. . But well I just feel bad about how he was kicked out of that position, thanks to Rohr, even though I admit his injury was part of a sequence of events. Fortunately for us, Rohr is no longer in charge, so if the current coaching staff deem it fit to feature him over Uzoho, then maybe they are seeing something we are not. minfelix: 1 Like |

Eguavoen to snub Ogenyi Onazi on Super Eagles standby list Innocent Bonke or Alhassan Yusuf to Replace Ndidi Eguavoen wishes to replace injured Wilfred Ndidi with either French Ligue 1 Innocent Bonke or Belgian Pro League Alhassan Yusuf as the Coach doesn't fancy the return of the veteran Ogenyi Onazi for Ghana. Chidozie Awaziem has been informed to replace Kenneth Omeruo. 4 Likes |
