The truth is most of the Universities in Australia requires that you complete your application process through any of their designated agent in your country of resident. However, some universities like; University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), University of Tasmania (UTAS), and I think one other will initially allow you to apply via their online portal. I know UTAS won't charge you for application fees, but uts charges about 100AUD. Do your further research anyways. fabregasss: |

Thank you my brother. Not compulsory but you will need to show that you had your first study in English. You know Nigeria is not classified as one of the English speaking countries? To prove your English, you can request letter of English proficiency from your university, stating that you were taught in English.

|

kizito89: Still nothing bro, it’s already 3 weeks now and my application is still at ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER. I don call access bank tire, really frustrating and my MSC offer is for May intake, so I’m thinking of canceling the application and using an alternative means even though it will be more expensive. If I wait for this people it may take 2 months to process this tuition payment. I shouldn’t have cancelled that first application with stanbic IBTC, well my adviser to anyone who wants to apply for form A, is to avoid Access bank for now. Unless you have enough time to wait. |

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Ikjosh04: 11:14am On Mar 22, 2022 |
DonMcek: No worries, your COE got canceled because its past census date in most universities and you're unregistered, which means your Uni doesn't recognize you anymore after census day. Send a mail instructing the admission team to differ your admission to semester 2 and send you a new COE asap. It won't affect your visa processing time. |

fabregasss: I think yes. If your circumstances has changed, and that you can now pass their gte test, etc. Give it a trial. But one of the reasons most of these schools will reject an applicant is mostly due to the bad records set by some persons from your country of resident. For example, someone from Nigeria applied to XYZ University, and was offered admission got to the school and maybe left or change the course to a lower one. This can make the school to mark applicants from that country to be high risk to that school. |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by EngrCGD: 11:06am On Mar 23, 2022 |
Vincentosa: Baba I disagree with you on this, the truth is that these schools know that we are using the school as a medium to cross over and that’s why they charge such huge amount for international students and this is applicable to all schools in other countries all over the world , once you are an international student and you are not a citizen or PR holder, the school will make money from you as well generate revenue for their government. Nothing like high risk because you left the school or change to much cheaper school there or even change course, even the schools know that this is the normal format nah, how you wan pay 97.000 AUD for a 2 year program or even 47,000 AUD for a year Tuition ? Nobody go pay that except folks from a rich home. Tertiary institutions is not suppose to be too expensive as international student but if the country must favor you in future, then you must bring something to the table as you dey enter. Do you know how cheap the citizens or those with PR pays for a Tuition for same course we international students pay heavily for ? So nothing like flagging us cos we dey do the needful. If there is any such thing as flagging from school then nobody will enter Australia again. If you know how cheap you can pay for a year tuition while in Australia already, you go marvel. But try use such schools to apply from here, your chances of getting a grant is slim or even rejection. If the school decided to flag you or reject you, they judged your case as an individual not as a country. Yes Nigeria is a high risk country based on other factors but not cos we dey change course or school, other immigrants/ students from other countries does same. 1 Like |

Hi everyone Please I have a question My husband is a business man with a registered business. But it’s an online business and he doesn’t have a shop We are trying to get strong family ties to the country as the agent said since we want to go together we would need that so she asked us to get a company(she said fathers company but that is not functioning again for a long time now) that can write us an employment letter or something like that. I want to ask that is all of this compulsory. If we have a strong sop stating that we would come back to continue his business since he’ wants to put in for MBA course and also he’s the last born taking care of his parents although his siblings are still in Nigeria but other states, we live with his parents Please help what do you think we can put in our home ties that would help us without forging any documents whatsoever |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Samstan4: 2:15pm On Mar 23, 2022 |
Muslimah1200: Well! I don't think writing an SOP only can work or convince them honestly, this is the reason why most agents advice that one should go first while the partner joins later. |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Muslimah1200: 3:47pm On Mar 23, 2022 |
Samstan4: Really I thought it was even better to go together coz I’ve been seeing some people saying they aren’t able to bring their partner in immediately until after a long time |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Samstan4: 5:42pm On Mar 23, 2022 |
Muslimah1200: If I may suggest, apply your first then once you get your grant, apply for her while you are still in Nigeria since much documents aren't needed for the dependant unlike the student. You can travel while her visa is on process |

If you have kids.... He will write a GTE around that fact that you are the primary care giver and u need your husband support to concentrate. Then, he needs to write a detailed career plan stating how his temporary stay in Australia will benefit his future career when he returns in Nigeria and what he wants to do in Australia. I did apply for my visa along with my family and got the grant Muslimah1200: 2 Likes |

Xkoba: No we don’t have kids. He is the one applying for school while I’m the dependent. So does this apply to me also? I have to state what I want to do in Australia and how Australia would benefit future career and so on? |
