safarigirl: Do you recall when you said that Tega Abraham is just a championship level player and he will not go beyond that essentially. He was the highest goal scorer in Chelsea team 2019/20 and he is essentially been a top Goal scorer everywhere he has been for the past 6 seasons. And today he scored two goals bringing his goal tally in his first season in Seria A to 15 goals and counting. Victor and Tammy are two different types of forward players. One plays with a Fiery Rage and aggressive relentless determination I haven't seen in any player currently. And the other with a finesse ,balance and technical astuteness with football intelligence that seems unbecoming for someone so tall. Who is better it's a question of either bias or preference. 3 Likes 1 Share |

codemaniacs: Why do you think the bolded deserves to be getting call up? You even mentioned Yira Sor but Ignored Peter Olayinka who is doing well in Czech league and has been consistent for the past 5 seasons if not more. He is even their captain in some games recently. What has Onyekuru done this season that he deserves to be getting a call up ahead of Iwobi? There’s no Awoniyi on your list despite scoring more goals in all competitions than all our strikers in top 5 leagues in Europe but Terrem Moffi with just 4 goals is on the list. Can you please explain? What makes you think you are not different from Eguavoen? 4 Likes |

Imagining Aribo with a masterclass at Kumasi. I hope we aren't going there to sit back and wait for counter Sha. This is the worst Ghana team in a decade or two. I expect some individual brilliance from Partey tho. But their Keeper will definitely not be ready for Osimhen. 5 Likes |

maybe Tunisia, but you could as well have shown evidences of my "predictions" I am not a prophet. My position is based on my conviction. It's perfectly okay to disagree.. One thing you can be sure is that I will not be in the pitch for either side on both occasions. Meliforme: |

So it's cos Jagaban was a top donor to Kanu Heart Foundation in early 2000s? That sounds like a good reason already. |

Our opponents dey call up players here and there from farmers leagues and we are here criticising players that play in Ligue 1. So if we do not have player in the top tier leagues we will just stay home and allow Ghana to walk over us? modified na komekn I dey ask oh. At least since you have been complaining here you have been unable to name 10 players so that we can all join hands with you and push for call up.. at least OGN writers come here to feed on our discussions. I am expecting Thomas Partey to be very physical. He has shown us that side when we took on Athletico Madrid in that friendly. I am happy to welcome physical DMs like Bonke. We should match them well with every antics they may play. daveP: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Joebie:Once he begins to fired from range, I expect the defenders to take the cue, even if he's not a threat there. Then the setpieces..... someone things it's cos we fear them. Rather it's about discipline regarding our approach under 90. I hate conceeding setpieces since that Drogba own in 06. Africa's finest don use am pepper us and we've not improved one bit there. It's why I clamor for that aspect. We need a Jover in the GWG. |

Without any sentiments, If I had a team today I will rather have Osimhen, because Osimhen still has a high ceiling. And even his level at the moment he is a scary forward. Goals count don't tell the whole story. safarigirl: 2 Likes |

forgiveness: It's a general list that should be broken down to 23 players or the amount of players the tournament permits. I will include Awoniyi and Olayinka. I forgot about them. The list was beginning to have too many forwards so I just decided to stop adding players.. As for Awoniyi, olayinka, Sadiq, onyekuru, Ihenacho, Nwakwame , onuachu will never make my team. I believe in 2022 forwards are at least supposed to have speed. My likely list below: Forwards Osimhen Yira sor Dennis Dessers Lookman Amoo Ejuke Simon Chukwueze. ( On standby and I didn't like his AFCON performance ) Terrem moffi. ( On stand by ) Olayinka ( on standby and I liked the through pass he gave Sadiq against Tunisia S.E needs wingers that can pass like that and he doesn't try to dribble or hold the ball for long ). Sadiq ( on Standby because his quite fast and can press) Midfielders Iwobi Aribo Ndidi Onyeka Bonke Nwakwali ( on standby and I liked his through balls and corner kicks during the AFCON ) Defenders Semi ajayi Omeruo Ola Aina Bassey Akpoguma Ebuehi Sanusi Keepers Uzoho Okoye Any good keeper they can find. |

We should come away from Ghana very comfortable.. In another 90 minutes we will complete the job. We must be very tactical in our approach. 6 Likes |

daveP: What if Osimhen gets injured either before the game or during the game. What if Osimhen gets a red card. What if any S.E player gets a red card then what will Eguavoen do S.E and Eguavoen has to prepare and calm the players down because Ghana is going to try to get at least one of our players sent off.. 2 Likes |

Joebie: I did not bring the Tega matter into this discourse. All I said was they are two different types of player. With very different attributes that it's a matter of preference and each particular teams DNA. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by chrisooblog: 9:39pm On Mar 20, 2022 |
Again I reiterate you have a choice not to follow their behavior. You have a right to be disgusted by their behavior but in a democracy you may not like people's choices but you have to let them leave with it. You also have a preference but even if I don't like it I have no right to attack you for it. That's my point. At the end of the day we are all adults no one but ourselves will bear the consequences of the decisions we make in life no matter the influence we think people have over other people's lives. dkay51: 1 Like |

codemaniacs: Are you saying the aforementioned forward players don’t have speed? I am not sure you know what you are talking about. If you had mentioned Sadiq, Nwakeame and Onuachu I would have understood but seeing Onyekuru makes me believe you don’t know what you are talking about. You are just trying to make excuses to drop some of these players. Well, you are not different from Eguavoen in my own opinion. |
