The European Union would consider a ban on the import of oil from Russia, anonymous sources report to Reuters news agency.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte says that an oil boycott is still too early.

The EU is speaking this week with, among others, US President Joe Biden about a fifth round of sanctions against Russia.

The sanctions that the EU has so far imposed on Russia have not proved effective enough to stop the war in Ukraine.

And so the EU faces the decision whether or not to ban the import of Russian oil, as the US and Britain did before.

According to the sources, baltic states such as Lithuania in particular would insist on such an embargo, because this would be a logical next step.

Germany warns against hasty decisions, given energy prices in Europe.

EU member state Bulgaria, which is almost entirely dependent on Russia’s Gazprom for its gas supply, has said the country is considering abstention.

All EU sanctions must be taken unanimously.

France’s decision is likely to be crucial. French President Emmanuel Macron has said there are no taboos when discussing new sanctions.

That ace card is to survive at the expense of the Black ignoramuses.

The result is that many will die, starve and will be forced to become economic refugees in the west where many will in turn be over exploited all because of ignorance.

Venezuela knows what's up and is negotiating arms/weapons deal with Russia this week. They don't plan on being raped like the black ignoramuses of Africa without a fight

Have they started building the pipeline? No!

Lastly, what will hapen if they need to sanction Qatar too in future?

What pipeline? Pipeline is just a means of transportation. It's not an oilfield.

Have you heard of LNG tankers and terminals grin

Lol! The amount of gas the EU uses can not be transported by ships. They need a pipeline. The biggest LNG tanker can carry 266,000 cubic meters of gas. While Russia supply the EU with at least 53 million cubic of gas per day. Now do the maths ...

My point is, if Russia turn off the gas. They will suffer. Qatar and US will not be able to meet up. The deal with Qatar is a long term deal not shot term.

It is just common sense. Well, let wait for the outcome of their meeting.
