I hope we do not bash Uzoho if he makes his own mistakes. We jump ship too easily in my opinion. I believe both keepers are at the same level honestly. Nothing special about them.(okoye, Uzoho). A look at the teams that made it to the last 4 of the Afcon would reveal how good the keepers of at least 3 teams were. A strong team is built around a solid keeper. We should be searching for more keepers not trying to make excuses for each of them. We shall prevail

Please, somebody should tell Nigerians to release this boy's destiny, because what the f*ck is this piece from a "respected journalist"?

To me, one shouldn't blame the journalists reporting such stories.. Strange illness knocks out a 22yr old that was fit just days ago. What is this strange illness? Why are they not throwing more lights on his illness?

The formation above will surprise the bredas and won't know what to do. Surprise is a masterpiece war tactic. Too much sense won't kill me.

Thelonecitizen and thesupernerd have once done a statistical comparison of Maduka and Uzoho in the GWG and Uzoho clearly edged him..
You are talking as if you don't know the history of goalkeeping in Nigeria.. We have always been known for producing good goalkeepers, and wherever they play doesn't matter as long as they are good..
Where did you put this energy when Rohr called up Maduka from the German fourth division?
where was this energy when Uzoho was unjustly pushed to second choice because he got injured..
You can sugarcoat it as much as you like, but the fact remain that as long as the super eagles is concerned, Maduka hasn't done anything to justify his inclusion as the first choice..it doesn't matter if he is playing for Man City..it is his performance in the super eagles that we should be more concerned about..
Thank you very much... Uzoho might not be an Enyeama but he is very decent and has played in the big stage (world cup) as well

Naija just Bleep up when dem replace uzoho with okoye as first choice (just like that)

That Uzoho guy hasnt made any goal keeper error that I know of for the super eagles and he exudes confidence but Nigeria in their infinite wisdom decided to bench him 4 an inexperienced, untested and young Okoye

Who does that?

It is not a strange illness

Someone mentioned COVID, but I no bother check am and it is the work of these journalists to investigate that.

You cannot seriously call yourself a journalist if you are more interested in spreading beer parlour gist than fact-finding.

Anyway, I expect Ghana to score at least two goals against us in both legs

But unlike some people here, I always expect our goalkeepers to concede, my confidence is in our forwards to score more than we concede.

That is how we win matches.

Lol. I pray we completely stifle Ghana in that midfield cause that is where they will seek dominate play especially with tricky players like Kofi-Kyereh, Kudus and Partey...

Onyeka and Etebo will more than match them physically and run them off the middle of the park thus forcing Ghana to play out wide, we already have the attack to punish any slight mistake Ghana makes... Let's just play a tight, simple and pragmatic game to make sure we leave Kumasi with no goal scored on us..

How many through passes have Iheanacho laid for Osimhen. Na today dem start to play together?

drDoom3:

God forbid.

Why is everyone here having wet dreams over Ighalo? You will not start Victor and Sadiq, Awo or Onuachu, but you will start him together with Ighalo? That's a waste of 4-4-2.

At least with Victor and Nacho in a 2 you know what each of them brings and how their skillset complements each other: you have Nacho laying through passes and pinpoint crosses for Victor to latch on to, then coming late into the box to finish from distance and mop up any loose balls while linking up with Victor. Ighalo will not do that, he simply doesn't have it in his skillset and there's nothing wrong about that.

. Hmmm I doubt. With the super eagles I watched during afcon, if Ghana will score then its through penalty. Nigeria will not even give Ghana space to play .

We are underrating our defense. Our defenders will do a great job. Ghana will not come away with more than one goal — if they score — over the two matches.

You may be right, but might still not be editing.

So many factors can affect the colors and contrast of a picture without editing – lighting, camera settings, type of lens, amongst others.

I strongly believe most of those images are not edited before posting. Those photographers just add their watermarks and share accordingly.

Except for those who have a special editing template that expedite their works.

Hailing bro.

I follow their works and I know Modzero has a special type of editing on his work,(high contrast and high exposure) same with other photographers na their work so they get time for all those things grin

You are absolutely right bro the present Ghana squad can't score three goals in a game and lastly since 2000 till date Ghana have not defeated super Eagles with a local coach on board.

I see super eagles triumphing.

Is Etebo really match fit is my concern, not sure if he has played any high intensity game in the last 6 months.

From this comment you're a woman who is not into football but you just come here to while away time..
so you don't understand that conceding a goal is a morale destroyer especially if you concede first and conceding 2 goals first is a moral fatality ..

This is why I said you should learn to be specific when you talk unless you're below 17 years old.. if S.E is leading 3 - 0 and Ghana scores it won't have any major effect on their moral.

If Ghana scores first then all they have to do is park the boss for the remainder of the 2 legs.

You're in the spirit bro.

Very pragmatic game that ensures we don't concede. I'm optimistic that between Osimhen, Simon, Dennis, Aribo and Ighalo we should be able to create enough chances. Hopefully our forwards can be clinical because missing chances against a team like Ghana especially at home can come to bite you on the bum.

I do not entertain people who are quick to throw in "You're a woman" when they want to address something

It shows a gross lack of logical reasoning or any form of intelligent reasoning at all.

The fact that I did not even mention anything about who scores first or last, but only mentioned conceding, yet, you came up with this jargons, is telling of how much you lack in reasoning capabilities.

The women in your life should teach you more on how to not begin a sentence by discrediting people on the altar of gender. It does not make you sound intelligent at all

This sounds like an excuse.

We are not doing excuses in such an important game.

He better be match fit and ready to catch those balls. We cannot afford a rusty goalkeeper for such a game.
