ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE INNOSON OPPORTUNITY The landmark progress made by Innoson motors should act as a catalyst and road map to kickstart and encourage industrialization in our dear state. It should attract government attention and support for entrepreneurship in Anambra state in particular and southeast in general. Chief innocent Chukwuma by some sheer entrepreneurial wizardry and innovative push has done what everyone thought was impossible before now .Like play, like play he established the first and only privately owned vehicle assembly plant indigenous to Nigeria in particular and Africa as a whole.Even the whole world have since taken notice of this incredible feat,CNN,Aljazeera,BBC,et al have all been to Nnewi to “confirm” the rumored vehicle plant as a “reality “Innoson deserves state and institutional support. Anambra state government should be in the forefront of marketing Innoson brand, this should be the new face of Anambra technological advancement, innovation and progress........southeast governors should also key into this technological advancement, but,as the igbos say “onye ana eduje ogu na ebu uzo” .Anambra state government should lead this marketing onslaught .All official vehicles should be Innoson ,intact,Gov Soludo should include Chief Chukwuma in his entourage for any future investors-seeking trips ,just as federal government moves around with Dangote........we cannot blame others for low patronage when our government is guilty of same ........ Gov Soludo has started very well by using Innoson vehicle as official car.He could even commission Innoson to make more specialized security cars for his use . Innoson has put Anambra on the economic, political and social map of the world through a successful investment and employment of citizens, the job of every government is to provide needed social stability and security through employment generation,Innoson has done this.By helping keep Innoson in business,Anambra stands to gain a lot, just like Tata did in India and eventually brought affordable cars and other household accessories to every household in India,Anambra can help her indigent citizens “afford” Innoson ,l bet you that if Innoson was dangote,Kano state civil service and even the whole northern civil service will all officially use dangote cars .......this is the way development happens ,let’s not miss this opportunity. Anambra should help Innoson sale it’s vehicles and should do so proudly, this is the original “nkea bu nke anyi “,it should even pay Innoson “advert” fees to include an inscription “proudly made in Anambra “ on each vehicle made and sold by Innoson.......by “sharing” in Innoson success,an impression that Anambra is a business land of milk and honey would have been established beyond doubt. This is how it works in every serious economy that wants to progress ,Nnewi merits an economic and industrial hub status,Anambra government in particular and southeast governments in general should be interested in clusters like Nnewi,Aba,Onitsha,et al.......through provision of infrastructure .........this requires leadership..... Many years ago, president Clinton as US president flew to Japan to meet and beg the aging 89 year old owner of Sanyo electronics to reverse his company’s decision to close its factories in USA because of poor patronage and sales ,the adamant Sanyo owner refused to bulge even after Clinton offer tax rebates and incentives, president Clinton ,in a typical godfather mien then made an irresistible proposal, offering to help Sanyo sell its products all over America by getting Walmart (America biggest retail outlet then ) to display Sanyo products in all their outlets ,a deal was sealed and 10,500 jobs was saved for the American economy...... Our problem in Nigeria appears to be the monthly Abuja oil money ,most governors don’t care whether businesses thrive or not in their states because government is run independent of employment generated taxes ........the prices of Innoson cars will crash when it is deliberately “assisted” to remain in business .....southeast governors should even buy Innoson vehicles and dash or donate out........Anambra should lead this charge by “donating “ Innoson vehicles to sister southeast states whenever the need arises on “humanitarian grounds “.All the “foreign aid” we hear about do not always ever come in “cash”,America gets it manufacturers to produce needed goods, pay them ,tax them and then ship the goods to assisted countries, including weapons, that’s how American jobs are created ,saved and maintained.......... INNOSON is our heritage, the pride of south-easterners and the original “nkea bu nke anyi”,let’s preserve our heritage!!! Finally,Gov Soludo, should be interested in "developing" Nnewi in an expansive manner that would attract more investors to the town. There should be a deliberate plan to build new cities,Anambra is also ripe to start having dual carriage roads. This should be our opportunity for a new beginning. By Emeka Ezekwe 5 Likes |

The former Managing Director of Diamond Bank, Dr. Alex Otti, has cleared the air of doubts in the minds of cynics who believe that the N75 billion savings the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, left for the State was a hoax. Otti, in a statement, praised Peter Obi for his financial prudence which enabled him to save up N75 billion in both local and foreign currencies for Anambra State as a governor before leaving office. According to him, the dollar component of the savings is now worth over N95 billion. Otti explained that it was through a high level of managerial ability that Peter Obi was able to achieve a great financial feat ‘in a state that was reputed to have been owing civil servants and pensioners’, by clearing off all debts inherited from his predecessor and still left behind a fortune for his successor. COVID 19: Anambra Discovers 4 New Ventilators Procured By Peter Obi’s Govt Confirming the N75 billion savings, Otti, who was the Chairman of Diamond Bank, one of the banks where the money was domiciled, stated again, as he had done many times before, that Peter Obi left a whopping N75 billion for the future generation of the state. Speaking on the Dollar component of the savings, he said: “Like yours truly had done in the past, one can attest to the fact that some $155million was invested in the tier two capital of three Nigerian banks with maturities of about 5 years at interest rates of up to 9% per annum to the credit of the State. As at the time the investments were made, the Naira equivalent of the funds was about N25b. If those funds were rolled over at maturity in 2019, they would be worth about N62b today. If interest is assumed to remain at 9% for the past 6 years, an additional N33.5b would have accrued to bring the present value of the investments to over N95b. This is one of the advantages of prudence and financial literacy”, Otti wrote. Buhari Warns Governors Over Judiciary & Legislative Order Otti, who said Peter Obi successfully cut off profligacies in governance, described Peter Obi as ‘one of the few leaders of the country that has his head properly screwed on his neck,’ noting that ‘in truth he is a true example of excellent leadership and accountability in today’s world where such attributes are in very short supply’. Otti opined that it was the financial imprudence and lack of savings culture experienced at different levels of government that has almost crippled the nation after few months of lockdown. He therefore urged political leaders and public office holders to borrow a leaf from Obi’s prudence, financial responsibility and savings culture in their public and private lives. It would be recalled that Peter Obi won the award of “Thisday Governor of the Decade.” How about this from the horses mouth...lmao. Otondo. 3 Likes |

This was a reply to your post from the other thread...lol. Ula ga egbo onye nwulu anwu..lol You are not wise and you are not brilliant. What is Legacy? What is project? If you know what Legacy is, then you will know that it could be tangible or intangible. Till the world end, the revolution Peter Obi brought in education, financial management and other sectors will be discussed in Nigeria. Tell me what else is Legacy. When Anambra state was struggling in JAMB and WAEC ranking, we were all aware. But Peter Obi investment in education changed the story. Tell me again what is Project. Upper Iweka facelift Dredging of Agu Awka. Amaku Teaching Hospitabl Igbariam campus of ANSU Etc are all tangible Legacy projects of Peter Obi. But my rational self takes pleasure in intangible Legacy projects because those ones outlive the initiators. I want you to reason along this line so you don’t embarrass yourself 4 Likes 1 Share |

Obiano did nothing.. Obiano left our roads in sorry state..Obiano is very stupid.. Look at Onitsha today..Obiano can not even construct roads..beautify and plant flowers..clean the roads and fight against unnecessary dumping of refuse by people.. Just small touch to make city great and attractive.. Onitsha have been left to be city of Chaos for along. But it may have a new look as soludo promised to do something about it. Obiano must not go scot free...efcc should do the needful. Black people are very far to development. Very Wicked. What will it take a Governor to beautify roads, clean them, reconstruct and mark the roads..create law to tackle reckless dumping of refuse..... both the commissioner for environment and the Governor must be called this name. Fools..is high time they Begin to offer this corrupt politicians eternal life in prison so that they will hv fear for once.. 6 Likes |

gariepinus:You idiots should shut up for once, Obiano is not the first Governor of Anambra and yet was expected to fix all Anambra problems Overnight. He has played his part, invested in many revenue generating assets that will boost the state revenue and provide more funds for the state to be able to afford good roads and other quality projects, again nothing will come out from the EFCC witch hunt as he served the state very well. You losers who dont understand governance need to shut up. And Onitsha is not the only city in Anambra 4 Likes |

Reason why Obiano made Ford the official car of Anambra State House of Assembly is because Coscharis (Cosmos Mmaduka) is the franchise owner of Ford motors. Coscharis who is also the soul distributor of BMW, Range Rover, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce... is the subsidiary owner of Anambra rice brand. The mathematics is simple: Coscharis pays tax to Anambra state government. ie. both Coscharis group and ANSG will smile to the bank. There a thousands of reasons why Anambra is the best. 3 Likes

I am so disappointed with Peter Obi for the roles he is currently playing in the drama unfolding in Anambra state. This is a man i personally supported and hosted many times when he visited the US. I hope he has already given up any hopes of becoming VeePee of anybody or even holding any position of trust in the country. I will use my sources to expose the millions of dollars in his undeclare foreign accounts. Some of the millions were in the Pandora publications but not all. Nigerians need to be informed appropriately about this man. 4 Likes |

investnow2013: I’ll rate the airfield as an 8.5/10. It looks organized, especially with the CAT 3 ILS. However, I’m not comfortable with the terminal building. I feel Soludo could partner with the Chinese or Julius Berger to build a proper 5-10 million capacity terminal building equipped with no less than 8 avio bridges. The cost of constructing such a facility could be borne 80% by the contractor and 20% by ANSG, and it shouldn’t cost more than $35 million (even after accounting for inflation) |

So our pple are so impressed with the executive order given against Agbero. At least the comments I have been reading on various Sm is on a positive note. But I find it awkward that some pple are coercing the gov to engage the agberos with jobs and I lol . We have graduates in Anambra state who are without govt jobs in d state and have decided to create jobs for themselves by being entrepreneurs but here we have some loud mouths saying the touts should be provided with jobs so that crime won’t be on d increase in the state Agbero is a criminal act and shouldn’t be encouraged in our state...in fact, the act is alien to ndi Anambra. Anambrarians are hardworking pple...stop encouraging agberoism...let’s leave agberoism for pple of South west, that’s their way of life biko. Agberoism is stealing and not part of our culture. If govt decides to come in...they should be employed massively into ANS Waste ministry...these guys can be used as cleaners in d state...pack waste with govt trucks and get paid by govt. Most parts of the state is filled with dirt and garbage. We need a cleaner Anambra not touts hanging in every corner and discouraging outsiders from bringing money to us. Traders from all over d country shouldn’t be avoiding Anambra because of touts in Onitsha...we need them to come bring that money for our pple. Say no to touting! 3 Likes |
