This is why I am happy we have Amuneke.

"We have a couple of players who can play in that position and they've been watching him [Ndidi]. The philosophy will not change, the style of play will not change, only personnel will change a little bit." -- Eguavoen
There you have it... it's 442

You have not watched Iheanacho recently. One thing Iheanacho does very well is roaming and creating passing lanes for his teammates. He is now good at it.
Well...we shall see

Beyond the tactics, I hope we have a team psychologist...derbies are emotionally charged games...we need proper game management, no need for rash tackles or brash decisions. Let's not risk getting a red card.
Exactly....
And also, the players should bring on their agbero mentality too ..... grin grin
Chai...I'll miss Ndidi sha but Osimehn should be fit to lead the charge....

I just pray Eguavoen doesn't go with the 442 again, with the personnels we have, he should use 352 or 4231..

But with the small amount of midfielders invited, I think Eguavoen might Wana go with 442. The rigid 442 will hand the initiative to Ghana allow them to build confidence early and feed off the energy of their home crowd.
There is nothing wrong with 442... tactic is what matters..
Sadiq and Osimehn flanked by Chuks and Simon is not bad...
The wingers just need to be flexible...they should come inside when the need arises while the FBs takes the width...no touchline hugging

So as you nigerians have packed plenty forwards for this game, who is will defend for u ? Even look at ur goalkeeper-one shot one goal.... Worst part will be nigeria not scoring a single goal with their 12 forwards
worst part will be Ghana conceding despite parking defenders and their goalkeeper worse pass our own LOL

And Eguaveon will maintain his spine from the AFCON, save for Ndidi.

So, if you remember the people who made up that spine, expect them again, because you don dey mention who no dey spine, make you no dey disappointed

Uzoho is a more tested goalie.
I can hardly think of he conceding the types of cheap goals Okoye is conceding.
Besides, also, he looks more confident in goal.

My greatest fear going into that AFCON was our Goalkeeping department.

What really helped Okoye at the group stage was that our team was way stronger than their opponents and didn't really receive any major goals threat. The only shot that was directed at Okoye all tournament he could not save.
Even if we had scaled through Tunisia I doubt we could have scaled through the next stage.
Look at even the penalty we conceded against Sudan and the way Okoye was mesmerized by the kicker. Na that kine keeper for carry us through Normal penalty shootouts?

I think we are being unfair to Okoye, and we are still relying on what Uzoho has done in the past. Since his long time injury he hasn't gotten to that particular peak he had then while Okoye has gone on to win the Eradivise keeper of the year( by a magazine or so) and got a transfer to EPL say a lot
Okoye might be shaky in the GWG but we have two different coaches who still prefer Okoye to Uzoho, that should tell us how NAD he has decline. Uzoho has only played 13 games this season and we all know how important playing is for a Keeper.
Not saying Okoye has been decent in GWG but thinking Uzoho will be better is not it. The better we accept he is the best among them for now and keep searching for a better Goalkeeper the better

I say fiam, the ball was in the net. For the first time in my long years of watching football, it was like I had an out of body experience cos I couldn't believe my eyes.

You know like when goal dey smell, you will sense it. That goal came from no where. No warning, no prelude, nothing to prepare my mind for the shocker

I've always wondered why you always talked about that goal all the time... Your last paragraph has given me some ideas grin cheesy
