I have been in Sunderland for a little over two weeks now and I have applied to over 40 jobs all to no avail. I don't know what to do anymore, I have done few interviews and it seems they are all looking for a full time work.

I have experience in sales and I've been applying for jobs as sales assistant, retail assistant etc.

I have a Certificate in IT(British Computer Society), I don't have any work experience in IT so I haven't been applying for jobs related to it.

What do I do? It's really getting to me.

If you haven't done so already, try downgrading your CV for the retail jobs. Indeed has a lot of listings. Create an account and activate notifications

My credit limit is now close to 20k and I have declined any further increase grin

My partner is using one of them to learn digital marketing. They will also help you with your CV and refer you to some roles at the end of the program.

I'm currently house hunting for me and my dependants and I found a 2 bedroom apartment a with a rent to buy option for 800pcm. It is unfurnished and i will have to do the flooring in the lounge and 2 bedrooms. The toilet and kitchen has been done already by the landlord. There is oven and hob but no freezer and washing machine.

I'm concerned about how much it will cost me to purchase all the things to make it comfortable and also do the floor which will be in addition to my monthly council tax, utility and other bills.

The attraction for me is that it is the closest house within walking distance that I have seen to my office and possibly the option of owning the apartment 5 years down the line with the option of rent to buy.

My other concern is that the 4 schools I saw close to the house are just good schools and one without rating. In the event that I want my kids to go to outstanding schools, is there a possibility for them being accepted in outstanding schools even if they are far from the house address? Please all the elders in the house, help me put mouth o. Is the house worth taking, what other things should I consider before concluding. I just booked a viewing appointment

Hello everybody, please I will like to know the best way or ways to get into construction job(eg plumbing or hvac) as a new immigrant in UK with a mechanical Engineering degree from Nigeria. I have some professional experience as site supervisor on HVAC project.
All my online search are not too clear about which path to follow.
City and guilds for 1yr to get plumbing certificate or white SkillCard AQP are the top things I have read so far. Please help I am using three weeks already without a job as dependent and all carer jobs I see so far demand driving experience that I dnt have.

Hello sir,

Good day boss. Please , what do you think about the potentiality of getting a job in the uk with a 10yrs experience in the oil and gas as a mechanical technician. I have Beng Mech Engr and Meng Industrial Engr.

Thanks boss

“Just Good Schools”
As Missposh, you probably want the likes of Eton?
I personally would not use the word ‘just’ in front of ‘good’ schools.
If you (truly) want your kids to attend the ‘outstanding’ schools, you MUST be suitably located within the catchment area. In that case it is (highly possible) that that £800pcm you wish to spend on housing is just enough for a 2-week rent in the catchment area of an outstanding school.

Thank you. I have created an account since, I get notifications about new jobs too but most are full time permanent ones.
Its difficult getting into care jobs too because I have no experience and driver's license.

Try to get a standard CV (resume.com or wonsulting on Instagram)

If you are looking to explore s career in IT you should look into watching A+ and s+ videos and think getting the knowledge. As knowledge and experience is valued more than the cert.

Your BCS cert, what were the learning points/objectives
Thank you. I did the BCS to add points to my Canada pr journey which I later opted out from. I've never paid attention to what the practical aspect of the certificate is about. I'll do that now.

Is it best practice to have multiple CC? I already have one with Natwest on their Reward account and they also give cash back from all purchases.
Not just sure of their own fraud protection.

You no dey forget things sha. cheesy They declined me several times until I used ori iya mi to beg them.
If I didn't I keep rejecting their credit limit increases, it would have reached 50k by now. I'm on 22 right now, hence my calling them cheerful giver. I have not used the companion voucher yet as I have various asunles. Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow Curve, my avios would have gone through the roof. Nice and cool company to deal with too!

It's an app that acts like a wallet for all your bank cards. It makes it easier for you to switch cards and payments. It's also serves as a layer of protection for your payment card information. Google to read more.

Maybe, I don't really get it but what I use apple wallet for is just to add my Virtual card, train card or anything and with that I use it to pay for whatever I want.
