Not exactly true, below 600w panel array...using mppt doesn't make sense.
however you should be aware that 200w panel cant charge your 200ah battery full in a day..be it mppt or pwm charger . 600w panel is recommended for each 200ah 12v battery you have...ie in an offgrid scenario. you cud getby with less, if you have nepa supporting coming in

I have a 200watt 24v solar panel installed/connected to a 200ah 12V battery and sunrise controller PWM (30/20/10A - 12/24V). Someone Saw it and said I must change controller to Mppt to balance the load.
Is he correct??
What mppt type & price please?

MPPT ensures you don't waste energy, using 24v panel on 12v battery will result to loss in Voltage..

Not safe to charge lithium cells with it as they are designed to charge lead acid. Pulse charges not good for lithium

Good Day Nairaland,

I am trying to go solar based on the current reality around the Diesel cost to run my shop. Please help with the calculation of what is required for the following equipment, these are 3phae equipment except the lighting and the fans.

1. Lighting - 800W (12hrs, more at night)
2. Fans - 500W (18hrs)
3. Chiller - 2000W (12hrs)
4. Mixer - 6500W (12hrs)
5. Divider - 2000W (12hrs)
6. Moulder - 2500W (12hrs)
7. Oven - 3500W (12hrs)
8. Slicer - 650W (12hrs)
9. Computers - 150W

Please, note that the 12hrs is estimated to be 6hrs - day and 6hrs Night time.
I do know the initial cost may be high but I might be able to get finance for it.

On Suoer, I haven't used them before and I can not attest to how good they are. Fangpusun controllers are essentially Victron clones. Epever has some very good rep too. You can reach out to Juo on this forums. He would supply you what you need and you can count on him for good support on setup.

On customers' support I can attest to it.Just recently I woke up to see my 24volt 100AH LiFePO4 drained ,one of them to be precise. I put a call across to him since I had bought them earlier from him. Lol and behold he directed me on how to wake up the BMS of the flat battery and viola it was back to life,firing all cylinders as if new. No thanks to the hazy and dusty weather being experienced here in my Santa. If it were to be my previous SMF LA Ba3s......... your guess would be as good as mine.....
