Good morning mamas, since I took in I have only taken fancidar once, and it was terrible, that was December. I complained about it around January when I went for Antenatal and they stopped giving me, mosquitoes bite me from time to time and this gives me little worries... should I damn the side effect and just take fancidar? Although a doctor said since I react badly to it they will just treat me if malaria comes instead of giving me fancidar. To be frank I don't want to take that fancidar, pls is there any other type given to any mama during Antenatal care that is better than fancidar?

Amen oooo teamie, the little consolation on the heat here is that though it's very hot at night, the weather starts changing at dawn and it gets a little bit cold...

For the nipple cleaning, you can start at 37 weeks, clean with cotton wool and olive oil.

Nipple cleaning helps to open up the pores in preparation for breastfeeding, It can be done from 36 weeks.
To clean the nipples, apply olive oil or coconut oil to the nipples and the blackbarea around the nipple and leave for 10 minutes before cleaning with a towel. Some black stuffs will be falling off. Do it from time to time

honestly I have taken the fansidar twice and both experiences are
No malaria symptoms atall but I am just doing it for my baby ni. Not sure I will take the third one sef cos the last one I took this week, God! I can't even explain it, even tho I used d drugs before sleeping, the thing still disturbed me throuoght the night and I ended up vomiting that mid night.

If you can just try and take it one more time before your 34th week..for baby sake.
As for me sha, not taking it the third one. Otogeeeeee.

lol anytime my baby is too gentle or quiet I just take any sugary thing.. before you know it oga will start dancing up and down. Lol

what trimester are you mama. I think from second trimester till 34 weeks anti malaria drugs are taken thrice.
You should tell them at your next anti natak that you haven't treated malaria or taken any anti malaria drugs. Just to be on the safer side because of your LO

This is my third journey and I've vowed not to take that drug. Seriously, even without it I struggle to get through each day without one issue or the other.

I do tryy best though to prevent malaria. I close my doors early to avoid mosquito bites and don't go out again except necessary after 5pm. I also use my net always and use insecticide in the evening, all so I won't come down with malaria and I'm good so far. I pray it continues this way.

Lool.. I have the same experience too.. once I take any sweet food, my baby gets super active. I think it’s normal cos my pregnant friends have same experience.
Another thing I noticed is my hair and nails grows really fast. Shaving is serious work now cos my belle don block road. My hair is fuller, darker and longer. I just pray it doesn’t chop after delivery

was browsing one day and read an article to get baby to move either tap ure stomach or drink a sugary stuff. Funny enough when I manage to drink Pepsi hmm na jubilation for my baby, don't know if its true?

That's one annoying thing my hubby does ,when he's back from work he taps my tummy and say baby say hi to daddy this baby will start kicking me oo seriously and its painful sumhow. Me wey dey happy say baby don' sleep he will just wake am up.�

Good afternoon Mamas
It's your girl again o.
My baby is about two weeks now.
Initially she cries for food after every two/three hrs.
But I noticed since yesterday she's been sleeping more both at night and day.
My concern now is when I notice it's over four hours she's been sleeping, I try to wake her up to eat, she sucks for a minute or two and go back to sleep.
Eg. today she's had just one proper feeding session of about 20 minutes sucking. I have even changed her diaper with the hope she will Wake to eat, but she just sucked for about 2 minutes and went back to sleep.

Pls mothers what can I do?
I am concerned she's not getting enough nutrients. Coz I googled and saw babies should feed 8-12 times daily with a min nursing time of 20 minutes per feed for breast fed babies.

Please what do I do?
Btw 1pm and 2pm I have tried to wake her up about 3 times, but she's just enjoying her sleep.
