It would have been great with Ndidi.. But Etebo and Onyeka held their own

Rockyrascal:
Ndidi is indeed a vital player for us

That's how he plays for Nigeria.. he is playing safe so that he doesn't get injured so that he can return to his villar:eal duties..

He hasn't regressed per se.. grin grin
Which Villarreal duties? He hardly starts for Villarreal.

in abuja, your team will be attacking, all we will do is play counter attacks, afena gyan is pacy enough to out run your centre backs
There were many counter attack opportunities he had. Never made use of any. Then suddenly he will be Ronaldo in Abuja grin

Afena ghan was running like headless chicken. Baba collect injury . seriously this Ghana team na rubbish. We just needed little orchestration in the midfield. Mind you , the new coach has exposed all his tactics , I wonder what next he will bring. Its a very big loss that they couldn't win after the delay tactics of releasing team list and all that. See Nigeria is winning this guys in abj. They are a wack team period.

Are you alright friend? You should worry more if you cannot deliver at home than you should if your opponent cannot(in your house).
Believe me, the plan was to get a goal and defend like hell. And the second leg is not as open as many are thinking. The key to the world cup is with Super Eagles, It's theirs to lose.
Rockyrascal:
at least we couldn't score, That was a win for him

The wing is easily locked up. Modern approach has made such a style so so outdated. Nowadays, if the fullbacks aren't getting opened space by midfield play to run in, it's nothing valuable to the team. We missed Ndidi definitely. I also noticed the lockdowns once the wingers received a pass. They just can't move. Nobody is opening up any space, so they pass right back to the defenders. How is AE seeing this repeatedly and not exasperated??

One of the things wrong with Eguavoen wingers is his over reliance on Simon and chukwueze..

They will receive pass with clear space ahead of them and instead of them to run and pass or cross into the box or run and cut in then pass or shoot they will wait for the defender to catch up then try to dribble. Simon was very guilty of doing this in tonights match.

Onyeka and etebo in midfield won my heart today. Both did well when subbed in and etebo didn’t show any sign of rustiness

I will love to see etebo and Onyeka at a pivot then aribo as a 10 in the return leg.

Bassey also showed good strength and agility on one on one situation. Very stron and difficult to shrug off the ball

Decent game I will say by the team
onyeka etebo and aribo that should be our midfield

I hope thats what AE plays in the second

Friendlies are meaningless. People play much more differently when there is nothing at stake. Take whatever you see with a grain of salt.

Here’s what I just posted on Twitter:

Quick question for @thenff and @PinnickAmaju: can Eguaveon be taken off this team before the return leg on Tuesday? Hand the team over to Amuneke and Samson Siasia to complete the job.

That’ll be the best decision for us, if we really want to win on Tuesday.

O pari

Honestly, I don’t rate any of of these 2 teams excelling at the World Cup they will definitely exit at the group stage. My only fear is that, I don’t want it to be that Ghana eliminated us.

Ghana case - Lack of Talent
Nigeria Case - Very poor coaching

The 2 teams will definitely be eliminated at the Group stage of the World Cup if any of them Qualifies

Heaven and hell forbid..

Osimhen and Sadiq should start.. Ihenacho doesn't press and an old Ighalo will definitely never press.

When I said s.e needs it's fast players people were saying their careers are just starting that it's too early to call them up.

Ghana knew our strengths and stragetize against it.. Eguavoen played what they were expecting. We needed to be unpredictable at least a little. Nothing dey this Ghana team.. Eguavoen na dunce
Abeg you people should cut down on Eguavoen. We didn't score because our attackers were a bit loose and not very physical. We lost a couple of chances sue to this.

However, the Ghana team are not dangerous in front. Once our defence does not make stupid mistakes, we will not concede. The issue is to score like two without wasting time.

Wtf does iheanacho has on eguaveon? Playing iheanacho destabilizes this team.iheanacho basically played as a short-one today

With away goals rule, Nigeria can't be comfortable until the team opens up a two goal lead in Abuja.

Any score draw will see our bredas fly their wack players to Qatar to make up the numbers.

Would have felt a lot better if we had at least an away goal.

I swear. He can’t press nor track back. Always waiting for the ball to be given to him

The most annoying part is that is gassed easily. If I were to be eguavoen I will start aribo in that position with etebo and onyeka as a pivot

Na so Ghanaians no gree us hear word about Partey since, on our end, everywhere Osimhen name dey pop up.

See today, Partey we no see, Osimhen no shine.

Anyway, Tuesday is another day
