Eguavoen is nt a coach at all....a good coach knows wen to change tactics wen his initial game plan fails..but no, Eguavoen will choose to still play on like dat...I'm particularly scared for the second leg bcus anytin wey make Ghana draw 1-1 we re out......dey re coming here like mad lions. We re at d disadvantage in case u guys don't know.

Guys, make una draw for their home... We go deal with them for home! We over underate this Ghana farmers.

I don't think so. This is the worst performance I have ever seen from the super eagles. They lack zeal and coherence in the game. Eguavon has no technical depth.

In 1978, Tunisia and Nigeria played 1-1 in Tunisia but we lost in Lagos through an own goal.

So, winning in Nigeria is not a guarantee unless there is a drastic change in our pattern of play.

Referees are killing football development in Africa. How on earth was that incident not a penalty even when the VAR showed very clearly that the Ghanaian player practically assumed the role of a goalkeeper inside the box ?!! It's a shame !!

Bro, you didn't watch the VAR. Even the replay was clear enough. He was kicked and he fell on the ball...his leg was drawn/dragged backward and he fell facing down, so nothing like penalty abeg.

home motivation boost morales... If you doubt it, go to Ukraine and ask then go to Russia to check! Ghana can't really play this Nigeria team but Ghana was at home so they have their home advantage...! The super eagles didn't have much time to play together before this game like they did before the Afcon. Now that the next match is on Tuesday, they'll have enough time to know themselves! Then when Ghana comes, Super Eagles will then show them what football is and how it's played.
And you think Ghana will not give their best, knowing she is at away /disadvantage and her last chance to the World cup? Anyway, lets pray as usual for the super eagles to win come Tuesday. cheesy

I just wasted 2 hours of my life.
He is playing against a fast paced team...

There is no need to hold on to the ball for a long time...

Look up and send in a cross...

We do not deserve to be at the world cup

Siasia is a far better coach than Eguavon. Even if we qualify, he can't take us to world cup.

Sis, relax. Things will change and Nigeria would qualify. Do you want to be Senegal, Mali or Cameroon, who lost today?

Don't mind these football illiterates on Nairaland.

Emergency Guardiolas.

It should be obvious the plan was to keep it tight in Kumasi, avoid defeat, and finish you in Abuja in 3 days time.

Thanks bro, it's just that I no longer feel that naija spirit with this super eagle , the vibe is not there atall as if they are not organised, you don't go to wold cup like this, remember last wold cup where almost all the players of a country maybe iceland or so are either professional doctors, modric country, the have there personal profession aside from football but check out their performance, talk more of my darling super eagle team all professional footballers, I tire for them.

TACTICALLY, EGUAVOEN IS ZERO

You can say that again! The quest for a foreign coach who knows his onions a la Bruno Metsu of those days is sorely needed. If Harve Renard is still available, we should go for him, he will do wonders with this team if he is given a free hand.

They were confused and open up their midfield for Ghana to control the game

Why is the whole country of Ghana quiet on the internet? They all came out in Kumasi to crush the super eagles with their noise, it sounded like the stadium was about to collapse with their noise yet no goal, Ghanaians claim that Kumasi stadium is their slaughter house, yet they couldn't slaughter

MUMU. Any serious coach would have done the exact same thing Eguavoen did, which was keep it tight away against a determined and fired up host, and win at home.

With his Quota system selection, we may not make it to the world cup. How on Earth will he drop a player like Ejuke our best dribbler for Musa and other players that are just there to fill space. If the wings aren't working atleast we can penetrate form middle with players like Ejuke. They need ball carriers in the midfield if they're to win in Abuja.

I believe so much in our local coaches but truth be told, Eguavoen didn't get it right tactically. Earlier today, Tunisia and Algeria won their games away despite being under pressure.

Nah. Not any coach bro. The tactics were completely off and I mean off! Shows there was no gameplan whatsoever and probably too didn't even get a scouting report on their opponents in the first place! That is what you get with experienced foreign managers not these local managers who have refused to upgrade for reasons best known to them!
