Sorry please, no penalty or extra time? So who is going to qualify?
There is a 2nd leg match on tuesday! If it ends in any kind of draw e.g 2 2,1 1,3 3, a penalty shootout will be played to get the match winner.

Nothing is wrong with the boys. The problem is the tactics employed by the coaching crew. Many of these lads are doing great in their respective clubs.

Our strikers aren't the problem, I think. Osimhen is banging in goals in Napoli while Dennis is doing great in Watford. Same goes for Lookman. Our problem is the inept coaching crew. It's one thing to have skilled and talented players but it is another thing to know our to deploy them.

Abi. It is obvious now that local coaches are not working at all in terms of tactics and gameplan. But is the NFF ready to give free reign and put their money where their mouth is in getting an Harve Renard-like manager with tactical nous and experience? That is the million dollar question!

I believe so much in our local coaches but truth be told, Eguavoen didn't get it right tactically. Earlier today, Tunisia and Algeria won their games away despite being under pressure.

Stop the comparison. Football is not mathematics. If the ref had allowed that pen we would be singing a different tune now. Football is very unpredictable. Wait for the 2nd leg and then after that cast judgement. Don't judge them by the 1st leg alone.

No word in English to qualify their shamelessness!
It's painful everything does not give one hope in Nigeria. What does it even take for these players to make 6 passes to one another in the first 27mins of the first half?

All players invited, like my fear would have it, why were those with quality play not used? Why the invitation if we would waste 70mins before substituting and wasting our chances of changing the game and scoring? Must we continue playing flank football despite being clipped? What's wrong in changing pattern and playing middle? No push or drive from the players except Osimhen. All were playing big man game.

You don't know football.
From the record's Ghana are better team.
They have beaten Nigeria for like 25 times we defeated Ghana only 12 time
They have won 4 nations cup nija 3
Getting a draw was a good match for nija. The coach did not go there to win.

Watch the second leg in Abuja you will see a different egales.

This time Ghana will do more of defence Nigeria will do the attack.

Nija did not play well but it was a good game tactically

TruthinAction:

I don't think so. This is the worst performance I have ever seen from the super eagles. They lack zeal and coherence in the game. Eguavon has no technical depth.

In 1978, Tunisia and Nigeria played 1-1 in Tunisia but we lost in Lagos through an own goal.

So, winning in Nigeria is not a guarantee unless there is a drastic change in our pattern of play.
Guy, 1978 and 2022 are different timelines with completely different set of players. When did these guys arrive for training that they'll know themselves? Everyone was just playing for themselves because they don't know who is who. Allow them to play together from now to monday and see what they can do. I strongly believe in them. They can deliver. However, i'd have loved to see victor simon play as No. 10. His positions are read. If he's at the center, he'll hardly be understood and his lack of training with the team made him greedy with the ball, no trust in his team, so did others too. They'll win!

Exactly, this game is just like a match between vigilantes and amotekun officials, FiFA should reduce Africa's slot to 3, 5 is just too much, seems African football is going backwards, they are just hacking themselves like cultists, I doubt I will watch next leg, it is better I watch two Rams locking horns than this drudgery

The entire Kumasi is a slum, so that's where your zoo is.

Lack of possestions

No Game plan

No Attacking threats at the opponent box

No through passes

Midfeld is error

Shot on target issa problem

Too much running with no destination

Coach is clueless

Captain is confused

Lack of dominance

Careless giveaways

No pressings

What is all these?? MEDIOCRITY!
you should not come back here and sing their praises when they beat this Ghana team in Abuja o, why are we not always contented like this, they have done well by not even conseeding a goal in Ghana, the Ghanian team were rough and were too much in a hurry to make an impact but the eagles soaked up the pressure and calmed the game if they had played at the same tempo with this Ghanian team they would have been beaten and the also played under an unfriendly atmosphere with a lot of noise from the home fan. so they still have a chance to get the ticket when they come to Abuja, it's if they now mess up there that's when you can start giving all these analysis.

Nigeria wanted to employ one foreign coach like that, I'm now regretting why they dropped him

Nah, he was a bang average coach with a lot of losing on his resume. NFF for reasons best known to them never go for foreign managers who know their onions SMH. The last NFF that did was for Bonfrere Jo's second stint which almost got the AFCON that year. Since then, it has been bang average foreign managers they keep recruiting.

He played a tactical game. There was no need to change the plan.
A draw is a good game.
I don't see any reason why you guys under rate Ghana.

Nigeria will be offensive in the next match and the Ghanaians with do the defence
