OP is in the US where what you call feministic behavior is nothing but the acknowledgment of equality for all humans. So she doesn't need think less of herself to get married if she really wants to.

Point missed. I wouldn't have quoted you if you had just mentioned good character, so let's not make it the bone of contention. I never doubted the importance of good character. Everyone should have good character. It's not just a tool to keep men. Women also want men with good character. What you said was that she should drop her feministic behavior at the door and I'm saying she doesn't need to drop her sense of right as is expected of women in Africa cause in the US where she is, a woman's sense of equality doesn't stop anyone from getting married.

The leading cause of divorce in the US is infidelity. This is probably the same in Africa. This comes from both men and women (men more), but you'd not see anyone advising men to come into marriage with good character. We are more interested in telling women to drop thier idea of equality at the door. And when you're asked to define what good character is, it'll be all about submitting to the will of the man. Maybe If we also tell men to drop this idea of gender superiority or this sense of I-can-do-whatever at the door, things will be balanced out and the divorce rate would reduce. Just saying.
