Nonsense talk. Even older people than her who didn't live in Nigeria knows that you are to either get the certificate or an exemption certificate if you past the age of serving. All she needed to do was to get an exemption letter since she was past that age of service as at time of application but rather, cos of padi padi government, they cooked up a fake service certificate. You brought yourself to shame. Nobody caused it

The UK that she comes from, she won't even dare and no excuse can salvage her.

It's not immediately you graduate that you serve. Some don't serve immediately.

You are ignorant. That's NYSC exemption letter, not NYSC serving certificate. No need to forge something you don't need to worked for, exemption letter is for you to just pick up at your own convenient time, no stress.
Those who gave forged exemption letter and destroyed her career are the ones who are supposed to be in jail by now

No matter how bad what happened to her seems to all of us, my stake still remains that she did the wrong thing with her academic exposure by allowing herself at that age to be defrauded
Why: if she actually graduated at the age of 21 as she said, what stopped her from going for her youth service after graduating?
Secondly: for those who already know but pretend not to and those who seems to know, NYSC gives exemption letter/s to those who graduated at the age 30 years and above or medically unfit.
My experience while serving made me realize this, saw aged people who came to serve.
Most of us seems not to tell ourselves the truth at times.
And this is a lesson to all including myself who seems to learn, when we reject the land, a time will come when we'll need the land.
She's a strong woman though

The problem here is that the Yorubas have religious and political dichotomies crises. I see a lot of Yoruba journalists on print & electronic media writing nonsense about Tinubu's ambition and weep. All of us (my juniors, my set and my seniors) that attended a Federal University in the South East always lament and pity our Yoruba people because they don't know the people they are dealing with. 6 years in the University are years spent to know entirely different specie of human being. Off recent, I thought things have changed, but now I know it is hereditary.

Did Ngozi Okonjo Iweala served NYSC? No. She had no NYSC Discharged Certificate or NYSC Certificate of Exemption.

She does not need NYSC Certificate for being a Commissioner or Minister. I have written extensively about this during her crisis.

We (Ogun State) celebrate her and proud of her.

One day, the Yorubas will wake up in Lagos and Ogun to realise what happened in Lagos during EndSars and know they are surrounded by enemies.

She resigned because she felt ashamed of her act. That's one of the options a right thinking person should do.
Others, would fail and still hold on to the power like it's their birthright.

She's brilliant, and intelligent! Plus God-fearing. She also has the experience! She did absolutely well managing Ogun State's Finances.

She had dreams, she lived up to it, and was glad to find herself in the same position her great mentor served - Madam Ngozi. Of course, that would make you so excited, and also nervous! You'd wake up everyday, still thinking maybe it's still all a dream until the day you're able to get over it.

I'm responding because you didn't resort to usual insults often used by nairaland hetr5 to make a point.

I'm not saying she's not brilliant. I'm only contering the fact that she's the best finance minister Nigeria ever had since the return. To democracy. Whether short-lived or not, she wasn't the best. Also, she couldn't do much to FOREX issues and pressing financial challenges then. But, she's better than the present.

Exemption is for those who are 30 upon graduation!!!

You forgot she had no Nigerian passport before her relocation. She used to visit Nigeria with a visit visa as a British Citizen. How then do you expect her to serve.
