I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Let Aina or Bassey/Sanusi can overlap to supply the attack. they'd have enough cover when do so. Not some rubbish wings that have been studied and will be clipped.

Yes my man,it was glaring we.are having issues with our midfield which cannot be solved in our next match, only way out is to bring in a very tactical approach that would bring less pressure on Osimehn to flourish...check it out,the same unnecessary stress Osimehn went through similarto what our strikers faced in afcon,so something is missing which must be put in place tactically.

@Joebie recommended 3-5-3 formation and I buy the idea.

Tunisia that won Mali away from home ?

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a North African team to lose at home

Nigeria and Almeria forward Sadiq Umar has told TribalFootball.com he has outgrown LaLiga2.

The 25-year-old has finally found a home in Andalusia after numerous loan spells whilst signed with Italian giants Roma.

Sadiq, currently with Nigeria for their World Cup qualifiers, spent time at Bologna, Torino, NAC Breda, Rangers, Perugia and Partizan.

He sealed a permanent move to Belgade giants Partizan before landing in Almeria in 2020.

35 goals in 67 league appearances later and Sadiq is ready to take the next step in his career.

Asked if he had outgrown the Segunda Division and was ready to play at a higher level, even potentially with Almeria, Sadiq told TribalFootball.com: "Yes. Though it is good to be playing week in week out. It makes me grow as a player.

"My mission is to make my team promote to La Liga this season and we will see what will happen next."

Sadiq - who was linked with Manchester City last summer - currently sits fourth in the league goalscorer charts with 15 which has helped Almeria sit one point off first-placed Elche.

"Yes I'm always glad when we win games like that and me contributing to my team means a lot. My job on the pitch is to score goals," Sadiq continued.

"It gives me great pleasure, but the most important is the team's result in every game.

"It would mean a lot for us as a team to win the Segunda title. That is our goal and now we are in a good position contending for the title. Although, we still have a lot of games to play."

Linked with Manchester City grin grin grin where do they get these fables from.

With regards to the match yesterday and the upcoming match on Tuesday, these are my views;

1. Ihenacho should have been replaced by onyeka in maybe the 60th minute, with Aribo moving upfront. Aribo, was played out of position.

2. The connection between midfield and attack was non-existent. I believe Amo can be used as a joker. Just release him when everyone is tired to cause havoc on the opponent.

3. The comparison between Okoye and Uzoho is finally settled. In as much as you cannot judge from a single game, Uzoho brings more positional awareness, composure and command of his line than Okoye.

4. We should learn to high press the Ghanaians. They make more mistakes when they are high pressed. On three occasions in which it occurred, they made mistakes. It even almost lead to a penalty.

5. We are in trouble, if we survive this world cup qualification match. Eguavon needs to update his coaching arsenal if we are to go far in the world cup. He still lives in the 90s, using the same Westerhoff principles. This is very predictable and can be easily stifled in the world cup.
kuku tell us you haven’t seen amoo play before and would love to use this opportunity to access him because no right thinking coach will throw in a rookies in a hot derby where qualification for the World Cup is at stake

Rookies such as amoo can only be introduced to the game if the team is winning comfortably

It’s too damn risky

Should we consider appointing Marcelo Bielsa as Coach?

April 04, 2016
TheGoodJoe:
Another Coach the NFF should give a shot is Marcelo Bielsa. The Coach who led Athletico Bilbao to the Europa League final, beating Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United along the way.

His style of football fits us and he likes creative brilliant players.

Report on Marcelo Bielsa's coaching style.

Bielsa's signature formation in his squads, which he made famous and brought to the front of the world's mainstream football scene during his coaching tenures in the Argentina national football team, Chile national football team, Athletic Bilbao and Olympique de Marseille, is the 3-3-3-1 formation.

For this formation, the players are: 3 defenders (1 líbero with 2 stoppers at each side), 3 midfielders (1 central midfielder with 2 lateral-volantes at each side), 3 attacking midfielders (1 enganche and 2 wingers at each side), and 1 centerforward. 3-3-3-1 allows great transitions from defending to attacking, as many of the players used in the formation can perform both defensive and attacking tasks. Moreover, it establishes superiority in numbers in every part of the field, since with this formation his teams could defend with 7 players, attack with 6-7 players, or protect a scoreline by overwhelming the midfield with 6 players. To use 3-3-3-1, all players have to quickly set to attacking positions when the ball is in the team's possession, and all players have to aggressively press and recover the ball when it isn't in possession, so it requires great teamwork and understanding between teammates.

This signature style of Bielsa's has had so much influence in the football scene that many present coaches, former players under Bielsa's command, are heavily influenced by the style, such as Gerardo Martino, Mauricio Pochettino, Matías Almeyda and Marcelo Gallardo. Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola credited Bielsa as his tactical inspiration. Jorge Sampaoli has been described as a 'disciple' of Bielsa.

Bayern Munich and former Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola called him the "best manager in the world" in 2012.

Taking from Bielsa's Wikipedia page.
