This is exactly the big difference between most of you and I. We fix shite without making the client go through stress or making noise about it.
Even the borehole issue, we wade in to make peace not because you deserved it but because humanity run in us.

But who’s the person who installs electric fence wire at just 1.5m above natural ground level in a residential building? Its either case of Incompetence or recklessness.
For me, having electric fence wire at chest level is big thing and very worrisome.

A contractor also has to document everything possible in order to convince the client he's not trying to rip him off.

I've met somehow and he is a perfect gentleman. I went with my boy to do spray application of his apartment and we couldn't finish that day as promised due to some circumstance and had to come over the next day.
At the completion of the job, even though he had paid me full payment in advance, he sent me an extra payment not discussed. I didn't bother him with extra cost logistics but I didn't need to because he was understanding and has conscience.
Before I forget, I met @ jeff68 also and he is a very warm and accommodating elder. He paid me in full in advance but that's not the reason for describing his quality but to show they are unlikely to starve project of funds.
I expected the vendor that got a whooping 7m worth of several jobs and that would have made very much even at 10% profit to look beyond part 40k balance being sent in view of the overall benefits to attend to his complaints first. I'm sure he would probably have given him the balance and something for the injured person on satisfactory completion without being asked even though he isn't mandated to.
Back to brabus, it's very wise for @ somehow to pick his words carefully also like he rightly mentioned. With the listing of some names of aggrieved clients, some may get the notification and follow without commenting and some may still be very angry seeing a dissatisfied job daily.
I sight a few posters saying they are newbies here and giving encouragement and I say " put your money where your mouth is" and encourage him with your projects.
Despite all the posts and warnings, avoidable mistakes would still happen.

All your pre inspection, payment schedule, labour schedule, Boq, contracts etc are as worthless as your integrity.
