I thought the Government claimed to have clamped down on this people. My Girl friend that normally calls me every minute hasn't called since yesterday. I'm guessing she has also received the message. Why would a loan shark company lend you money with the intention of defaming and blackmailing you if you default even if it's a day or at some times on due date.
Isn't that criminality?
If they know they are doing legal business, why are hiding and working remotely without an office where they could be located.
The main thieves and fraudsters are the loan shark companies

I had similar issue with Xcredit. I payed my loan through Quickteller and they didn’t receive it. I provided screenshots and mails from Quickteller saying the transfer was successful. The next thing their agent said am and did broadcast to my contacts. My contacts insult their lives first. After 24 hours the stupid Xcredit sent me a message that my loan has been cleared. Since then anything loan app I don forget am. Thank God things has been better with me.
Please avoid loan apps they have a way having you into an endless loop of debts.

I'm sorry for the bad experiences but this people are simply heartless. I would have paid on time but my business suffered heavy losses due to a robbery attack on my shop. I showed the pictures and all. Nobody loves owing but this their recovery measure is inhuman. If you were in my situation what will you have done differently?

the loan had 2 weeks duration and expired last week. I defaulted for 5 days due to unforeseen circumstances.

We can’t develop because unlike in some other countries. Majority of Nigeria loan sharks are not licensed by either the state government or the federal hence, the reason they do not have an address to locate them which of course, The likes of FairMoney and Carbon , Renmoney etc have.

Nigerians are the worst debtors in the whole wide world. They borrowed money with the intention of not paying. No wonder even the country itself after borrowing what they can't pay, start asking for debt cancellation; who does that.

Back to this criminal, you are an adult and you read through the terms and conditions. You agreed to it, after violating it you came here so that your like will sympathize with you. You are wicked. Nigeria will remain backwards if the majority of you pay good with evil.
These same loans have helped thousands of people out of their predicaments. Those encouraging you not to pay are not helping you. If you die today, you die a debtor. "Own no man no debt". Think well Nigeria. You have the right of refusing to collect the loan. You were not forced. Don't block others' chances with your evil motives. Nonsense

But why are we like this as a nation.... You took the loan, you knew the terms and conditions, you were aware that they would defame your name if you default.. yet you collected their loan and spent the money. The deadline they gave to you passed and you defaulted... Now you came to nairaland to complain, what are we suppose to do? You shouldn't have collected their loan if the terms and conditions are not okay for you.

They are a company too and they need to make profits. Unfortunately this is the way they operate to ensure people pay up (though i believe is very bad and a wrong strategy)....if not many people will collect their loan without repayment.

Simply put, you had you self to blame. Thier terms and conditions weren't a secret. You knew that's how they operate...why then are you complaining
