Great.

Hopefully this is replicated at the national level. Enough of certain persons who think the nation belongs to them only.

Makes sense.
If you are going to ask the party to zone at national level. You show example at local level.

Ekweremadu has the constitutional right to contest for governor

Ike and Abaribe have been in the Senate getting to 20years now with fat salaries and allowances, they want to rule as Governor for another 8years, maybe after that, they will go back to the Senate. Is it their birthright? No any other qualified persons to take over their position?
Delta state governor was in senate for 4years, he is about completing 8years as Governor, he is planning to return back to the Senate.
They are rotating themselves in these political positions.

Sure he does, but he benefitted from zoning in his senatorial zone. He took advantage and remained there. He wants to replicate it in the state. Fa fa fa fa fa fawol.

If the party says “Zoning”, you abide. That’s one of the reasons you are a good party man.

From the attendees of the meeting, this is just the sitting Governors finding ways to strike out the strongest contenders to make way for their anointed successors

That’s because interested parties allow them to have their ways. Professional politicians will never leave until the people take power from there and ensure the the right professionals get into political positions and offices.

South east PDP says their zoning principles must stand for equity and fairness. Ekwerenmadu and Abaribe should respect the rules they Putin place by themselves. There are other very qualified persons.

Rubbish...

Is it only Governorship seats thanks will be zoned?..

what about Senate?..

it's not the turn of Udenu where Ugwuanyi comes from to produce senator for Enugu East
yet he purchased a form..
he who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

Ugwuanyi is a failure and I fear any fool he plants in the lion building is another failure in waiting..

Enugu just wasted good eight years going round in circles.. spits

Tell them my brother. That mama is a complete utter disaster and whoever she anoints will still be a disaster.

Abaribe and Ekweremadu have been in senate for decades and they want to be governors too. Greedy men. So you are the only qualified candidates from your constituencies. There is no road to Abaribe’s village, he is only there speaking grammar.

If not for greed, how would Abaribe expect to become governor after almost 20years in the senate and having the current governor from his zone.

Abaribe wants to become governor with no iota of development in his senatorial district after decades in the Senate. angry

His job description is to make laws NOT to develop his senatorial district

That's the job of the state governor and federal ministers from the state, to bring development to their domain.

Anywhere in the world, a lawmaker is not elected to do the work of the governor and local government chairmen. They can only try to influence the 'siting' of FG projects such as roads, new universities, etc.

It's funny, how the PDP can enforce strict zoning in state levels, but wouldn't dare do so in the presidential primary..

Has he not been collecting constituency allowances for almost 20years? Constituency allowances are free gifts to him?

Abaribe that couldn't commission just one project in 16 years want to become governor of Abia state.
He should wait for another 16 years when it will be the turn of his zone to produce governor by that time he will be close to 90 years old.

The political maturity in my state, Ogun, doesn't allow anyone to stay that long in the national assembly.

We started with AD, to PDP, to ACN, and to APC now.

We've changed parties and actors have changed at one time or the other in the last 24 yrs.

Enugu has been a one party State and that explains why anyone would want to be senator for life.

But when we talk, our brothers from the south east would say Yorubas are mumu.

How can you call a people that have changed party and actors 4 times in 24 yrs mumu?

Is it not unthinkable coming from a people that remains in one party for 24yrs?

It's a case of pot calling kettle black.

The maximum a senator can get in my state is 2 terms.

Enugu electorates should handle them.

A party that understands what democracy and fairplay is...
it is crude democratic solution but sometimes problems could be solved and prevented by using crude and antiquated solutions,if zoning policy is not in place a set of people and zone can rule a state for 20-30 yrs without break, just like Arthur nzeribe did with our zone in the senate
