Nigerian schools should start adding handwork in their curriculum.
They won't hear and they don't know how important it is to the kids.

Paid a visit to my sister. She has 2 kids 4 and 6. They came back from school and brought out their assignments with their last term exam script. When I went through the 4yr old script, I was baffled to see the kind of questions they have written because it's more or less of a primary school standard. I was told they would be starting exams in few days time but they still came home with loads of assignments instead of allowing their parents to revise their previous class activities with them.
Not that the kids are not brilliant but I just feel the of that exam questions and some of their assignments are way higher than their reasoning.
Is it same with the school your kids attends.?

Not too much.. if she could get 17, that means the kid has bright potentials

You should be proud of the kid and the school, the world is changing fast and there’s too much to learn, these kids can’t be ‘spoon-fed’.

BTW what’s the answer to no. 15?

How can those German questions be too hard for a 4 yrs old child?

That's not too difficult. I even thought they were asked to briefly explain, describe and list with appropriate diagrammatic illustrations.

Education in Nigeria is just rubbish with all these mushroom private schools everywhere with no one to supervise them. Indecency is being stylishly introduced to them at that young age. If these questions are for four year olds I wonder if they will not be teaching actual s.x styles to the older ones in that school. That teacher should be arrested and the school closed asap.

Children at 4yrs of average intelligence should have not trouble with this test.

I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact I like the idea

It wasn't explained but at least they will have it at the back of their minds that the word pornography is negative. I think that is better than being ignorant. It will help them avoid it early.

It's a norm that most African parents shy away from teaching their children sex education. That's why we have so many way ward children today.

Parents should not shy away from educating their children about sex on time to prevent them from learning those stuff from their peers.

Why all these forming “woke “ ?
Those questions aren’t good enough at their level .
How can pornography appear in nursery school curriculum.
There’s a pattern of learning . At that level ( nursery ) , they shouldn’t go into researching .
Researching should start from Primary and it should be around their environment.
Most of the questions, even an adult will need Google to answer them . So what’s the essence ? A nursery school is meant to build the retentive memory of the kid . Nursery build the kid ability to master his learning materials ( ability to use pen , pencil , crayons, story books , an extent computer terms . Nursery school should build the kid ability to see, read, memorize and remember.
The materials or syllabus should reflect the kid everyday life ( from playing materials , to writting materials, and the immediate environment) . It helps the kid to know and master his environment.
All those research questions , I don’t see the usefulness at that level . Education is step by step , at the right time ( especially towards primary 4-6 ) they can go into research education. By then they would have mastered their dictionary and Google use .

Asking them about educational film at that level? Those movies are rated at least 13

Some schools should be closed down

4years go read nah..
The teacher in charge might just help him/her to comprehend some questions, help with pronunciation of some words correctly and the child go reason the answer on his/her own
Matter no suppose pas like dat

pornography no be word?, abi which one is, it's not suppose to be in the option, make them face the word now, the right time to render the word useless to them is now, if e wan wreck them, u still fit reshape their life now, that make dem go face am in the future make e come be their doom...

Asking a child questions about pornograhy (#2, #3, #10, #18) is senselessness. The whole curriculum needs to be scrapped if they don't know that's unacceptable.

Well the person wey dey ask question done get wetin em dey find from people wey dey reason like am.

They read the questions and answers to them na and they pick their answers. Children of these days are smarter than you think.

Learning is not so much of 'information loading' as it is of imaginative and problem solving ability.

Because many schools are lead by unprofessional educators, they dance to wherever the "ignorant' parents want them to do. A school (in Nigeria) is the only place the patient(parent of students) tells the doctor(the school) that he needs Radiation instead of physiotherapy!

Whatever class they want or whatever content they desire is what the school dances to--just because they pay school fees.
Look at the incompetent education landscape we have created for ourselves!

No. They will not.

They only mentioned it. They didn't explain what it means.

I dont think you have ever been near a child.
A child will even ask you why you have two legs.

Anyone that thinks or says that question is ok for a nursery class is not just mad but needs urgent help. That school should be shut down, it is so unforgivable. Do you know what it means to talk about pornography with a nursery kid. Some fool was now mentioning Chinese kids making robots when in some countries 4year old haven't even started schooling. There is nothing funny about it personally I will deal with everyone involved and make a legal case against them. Humans are naturally curious, they will someday want to know what pornography is and get stuck.

This is not right. It might not be a true stand of the school but that of the teacher. The parents need to bring it to the attention of the school management or bring it up in a PTA meeting. In Canada school starts at 5/6. Below 5 na Daycare dem dey de paint toys.

The school should have done well to replace that word of pornography with cartoon... this is not ideal
tho the kids might know this if you read to them but they can hardly read this themselves..
we can all do better

I was really taken aback by Chatinet saying that.
Though he said "bots" whatever that means.
At all events he said the questions are not too much.
Crazy.
