Having a strong military and a well motivated soldiers is very important nowadays, but poor and developing countries doesn't invest much in their armed forces.
We've all seen Ukrainian president Zelensky begging different countries for military assistance through video calls to foreign parliaments as Russia continue to bomb cities.

Poor military..very poor compared to modern day..
They have refused to implement the necessary technologies and methods of a proper modern day military...

1)Sub-standard military vehicles..
2)Out dated ammunition.
3)Handicapped in IT infrastructure and personnel..
4)Lack of proper facilities for establishing and maintaining communication..
5)Communication within troops..
6)Base to Troop communication..
7)Poor intelligence gathering....
And many more..
Let's just say Nigeria has lost its Glory..

Nigeria clearly don't need such weaponry... Our National Budget and GDP can't finance such. What we need are light aircrafts for internal crisis and surveillance

US that owns such defence weapons finance it through war and proceeds of war

SouthKorea alone Pays US over $500 million USD for its Anti missile system and another $2.6 billion to develop theirs

Gulf countries, Especially Saudi, UAE , Bahrain doles out Billions annually to keep US military base functional for Regional defence and Oil installation protection

I understand you, but some African countries have f-15, f-16, Apache helicopter gunship and other sophisticated weapons From the west, countries like Egypt, Algeria, Kenya etc

Check them out and you will discover that they got it because of their strategic relationship with the US and were victims of terror.
