I heard through an agent that Kaplan declines applications from Nigeria steadily as per high-risk country. You will get the conditional offer, but to get unconditional na wahala. You can do more findings on this though.

Muslimah1200:
Please is there anyone that has applied to Kaplan business school
Do you think applying to schools that are like colleges reduces one’s chance of getting visa

Hello house, I'm delighted to come by this topic.

I used to be nairaland member but stop long time ago. Now i had to return back as this topic popped up when I was researching on how to go about ausi student visa.

Please, I am a novice with just my ssce result. Dropped out in my ss2 due to lack of funds. I had been doing my best to make a living.

Now I intend to continue my education and to be frank I can't do that in Nigeria, going by my age(soon to be 28). Add 4 years of strikes and others and you will understand why I can't do it in the country.

I have a friend over there that will also be of help but I need to know what I'm going into, like the necessary exams and everything.

Thank you all in advance.

Who else’ resumption is imminent and is still awaiting visa grant? April 4th is resumption and immiaccount still on further assessment. Agency claimed people got grant in 3weeks in February. I personally know a friend’ brother who got grant exactly two weeks after applying this year and he’s presently in aussie. I hope this week brings us good news!!!
hey. Have you got a response from immi.homeaffairs.gov.au yet?

I don't know but my girlfriend had issues in Lagos airport because Qatar airline said they don't allow nigerians to transit in honkgong, Singapore etc because they don't recognize nigeria covid card or so.. so her ticket was useless and Qatar airline said they can't do anything about it. So we had to buy a fresh direct ticket without transit for her a week after i.e from Lagos to Qatar and Qatar to Melbourne. It was expensive ...

Hope you were able to get your refund

Hello sir,
Thanks for all your inputs here.
Kindly answer this question sir
Could you kindly provide me in order of importance how easy/fast is it to get PR or any other visas by states in Australia?

I want to prioritize state(s) with easier immigration first. I am a potential PhD student btw and i want to focus on states that me and my family can easily settle down after my studies within short period of time. I want to avoid states with long, difficult and complicated immigration system.

Thanks in anticipation for your input sir.
EngrCGD:

Baba I disagree with you on this, the truth is that these schools know that we are using the school as a medium to cross over and that’s why they charge such huge amount for international students and this is applicable to all schools in other countries all over the world , once you are an international student and you are not a citizen or PR holder, the school will make money from you as well generate revenue for their government.

Nothing like high risk because you left the school or change to much cheaper school there or even change course, even the schools know that this is the normal format nah, how you wan pay 97.000 AUD for a 2 year program or even 47,000 AUD for a year Tuition ? Nobody go pay that except folks from a rich home.

Tertiary institutions is not suppose to be too expensive as international student but if the country must favor you in future, then you must bring something to the table as you dey enter.

Do you know how cheap the citizens or those with PR pays for a Tuition for same course we international students pay heavily for ?

So nothing like flagging us cos we dey do the needful. If there is any such thing as flagging from school then nobody will enter Australia again.

If you know how cheap you can pay for a year tuition while in Australia already, you go marvel. But try use such schools to apply from here, your chances of getting a grant is slim or even rejection.

If the school decided to flag you or reject you, they judged your case as an individual not as a country.

Yes Nigeria is a high risk country based on other factors but not cos we dey change course or school, other immigrants/ students from other countries does same.

Thank you all for your input. I will like to ask if the Australian embassy call for telephone interview after submitting your visa application.
Also for those that got student visa recently that applied from January 2022,how long did you wait for the decision and grant ?
[quote author=Rasana post=112717388]Hello, everyone. Please I need your help. I applied to ACU through an agent who is very slow in replying and not explanatory. I currently have gotten the provisional admission. I submitted my sponsor's account statement, sponsorship letter, and others I was asked to. Please I want to know how long does it take to receive feedback from the school? Is it possible for me to make contact with the school directly to know the progress of my application? How do I make contact with them? I heard there is a specific number I can use. Please help. Thanks
Still waiting for the answer to this house

Please who else applied for visa that their intake is July?

Good afternoon every1, please i have some questions concerning Australia school.
I am on application for Master of Research in one Australia university and i applied for research particularly because of Research training program/ Higher degree research Scholarship. I got a supervisor, infact she gave me a letter of support already.
But letter they ask me to go apply through agent? Well i haven't answer yet because the agent themselves were telling me they dont know about any full Scholarship in Australia.
Is that true? I ask the university they were just redirecting back to the scholarship page which i can only find those $3000 $6000 and 50%. And i dont want to pay over 200k to agent at the end of the day i won't be able to proceed if there is no funding.

So my is.... all this Australia graduate program how did they used to do it. Is it true there is no full funded scholarship.
If i pay the agent is there a possibility of getting scholarship offer at all.
If i want to consider the partial funding (50%). Please how did Nigerians used to go about it please.

Yet people keep telling me i shouldn't give up the opportunity ooo because getting a supervisor is not easy. I know but funding too is important please share more light.

I am not a rich person in any way, i am going to finish my nysc this month that's why i am prioritizing the little amont saved with me be4 i blew it up.

The best you can get with your HND is BSc without honors (3 year programme with 1 year exemption).
It's only US and Canada that treat HND as the same with First Degree.
there are several other countries that acknowledge HND too including in Europe and Asia. Follow the handle "Wakawaka doctor" on Instagram and YouTube to find out the countries that accept HND grads..

Good day everyone, please does Torrens university require the use of an agent?
And how much for their initial deposit to obtain COE?
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Vincentosa: 1:03pm On Apr 06, 2022
There are alot of fully funded Scholarships particularly for research subjects. But for you to have gotten an acceptance letter, its expected by now you know what the program will provide you in terms of sponsorships etc.
What school is it? Send me a mail. I can assist.

Hi everyone, I am applying to Flinders University for my masters.

The university requires that admission can ONLY be processed through an Agent.
On the school website the following agency were listed... 1. PFL Education
2. Expert Education
3. Options Education Agency
4. Gaojo agency
5. TGM Education

Please, is there anyone who has used any of the above agency to process admission? Kindly recommend an efficient one

This is unbelievable.
Visa Grant in two days.

To encourage someone

First Application 17th March 2022

Health examination 25th March 2022

Application returned invalid because of non payment of Visa fee (I selected option of covid impact) 4th April 2022

Re submitted 6th April,2022

Grant 7th April, 2022

Postgraduate Research Sector (Fully funded PhD)

Note: I submitted my application from the UK, so biometrics wasn't required.

I don't know how strong the marriage tie is for visa application anyway, because I am not yet married, hence no family ties except my parent and siblings, however I believe they deal with applicants individually based on their circumstances.

All the best to others hoping for a grant
