Another fact. Theodore Orji won the 2007 Abia state gubernatorial election while in prison. Infact Orji Uzor Kalu campaigned for him all through the period he was in Nigeria.

Iyiola Omisore also won a senatorial seat in Osun state while in prison

Yayaha bello contested, after the death of the original flag bearer and inec declaring the process inconclusive, yayaha bello was drafted in to replace him. He stood elections, had like 6k votes plus the inconclusive votes..

Yahaya Bello did the same too. His was due to the death of the Kogi state flag bearer and beef for Tinubu

His name was on the ballot. I think this also happened to Omisore who won elections while in prison.

Making political parties instead of candidate to be declared winner in an election is a fraud.

People vote for candidates, not for political parties.

Yahaya bello too didn't contest. He assumed the post when the party candidate died b4 the official announcement of the governorship result. That's why he's been useless since day one of his tenure.

Technically, Yahaya Bello contested because there was a run off election with his name on the ballot. As at time of death,the election was inconclusive based on cancellations and some elections still outstanding. So when the bye elections held, it had his name!
