tempest01:Yayaha bello contested, after the death of the original flag bearer and inec declaring the process inconclusive, yayaha bello was drafted in to replace him. He stood elections, had like 6k votes plus the inconclusive votes.. |
Re: Amaechi Became Governor Without Participating In Election by iguita: 10:23am On Mar 31, 2022 |
Yahaya Bello did the same too. His was due to the death of the Kogi state flag bearer and beef for Tinubu |
Re: Amaechi Became Governor Without Participating In Election by iguita: 10:24am On Mar 31, 2022 |
His name was on the ballot. I think this also happened to Omisore who won elections while in prison. princejones: |
Re: Amaechi Became Governor Without Participating In Election by tempest01(m): 10:28am On Mar 31, 2022 |
poiZon: The process was inconclusive before the death of the flagbearer. Yahaya was illegally imported to conclude the elections and inherit the votes. |

Sultty:Which role did tinubu played? James faleke that was abubakar audu's running mate lost out. They told him to be deputy to yahaya bello, he refused. He went back to the national assembly representing one fed constituency in lagos. The logic then was since james didn't stand primaries and didnt buy form which is one of the criteria to be govr, he can't inherit the votes of his principal. Yahaya bello bought form, contested at the primaries, he came a distance 3rd or so. The person with the 2nd highest votes during the primaries had defected to another party, yahaya bello was the 3rd so he was drafted in. Tinubu lost out. 1 Like |

tempest01:He inherited votes yes, he stood the concluded part od election. Apc had 6k plus votes during the bye-election. Technically he contested, even though the bye-election waa inconsequential. |

tempest01: Making political parties instead of candidate to be declared winner in an election is a fraud. People vote for candidates, not for political parties. |
Re: Amaechi Became Governor Without Participating In Election by zomoears(m): 10:57am On Mar 31, 2022 |
robinso01: Technically, Yahaya Bello contested because there was a run off election with his name on the ballot. As at time of death, the election was inconclusive based on cancellations and some elections still outstanding. So when the bye elections held, it had his name! Amaechi is the only one! |
Re: Amaechi Became Governor Without Participating In Election by MMWandali: 10:59am On Mar 31, 2022 |
Did yahaya Bello participate in the election that saw him emerge as Governor during his first term? The winner was the late candidate who voted in the election but died before the result was announced He was not even the running mate for the candidate ....... Just undemocratically imposed by the APC and the courts |
