Russia And China To Advance ‘fair World Order’ – Moscow by moneycentral20: 9:03am On Mar 31, 2022 |
Russia and China say they are working to achieve “a multipolar, fair, and democratic world order.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is meeting, on Wednesday, with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, for the first time since Moscow launched its military campaign in Ukraine on February 24. Unlike most Western nations, and some Asian countries, Beijing has refused to condemn Moscow and rejected calls to impose sanctions. The neighboring countries will work to achieve “a multipolar, fair, and democratic world order,” Lavrov said after arriving in Tunxi, a city in China’s eastern inland Anhui Province, on Wednesday. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova posted a photo of the two ministers greeting each other with an elbow bump. Beijing has argued that economic restrictions disrupt world trade and will not resolve the conflict. Officials insist only dialogue and diplomacy can lead to peace. TASS quoted Wang as saying that despite “new challenges” to the ties between the two nations, “the will of both sides to develop bilateral relations has become even stronger.” Read more: https://moneycentral.com.ng/markets/article/russia-and-china-to-advance-fair-world-order-moscow/ 2 Likes |

This is the best for Africa. This might be a once in a lifetime opportunity for caged African states to break free and look for both international and economic relationships from these two emerging super power states that are ready to treat our people with a reasonable amount of respect. Between China, Russia and probably India, Africa has a huge market to exploit, devoid of western racist imperialistic tricks.. Folks in this continent who are still stuck inside the western mans behind, should relocate to the west and allow pan Africanists to unleash the needed international collaborations essential for the quick development of the continent. From french West Africa to British colonized Africa, we have seen no single success story! All we see are poverty, misery and squalid existence. .. The Chinese have built more roads, more train tracks, more airports and more factories in Africa than the West put together. Yet the Chinese actually started investing big time here less than 3 decades ago. The so called "free world" only see Africa as a mininig destination where they utilize poverty and illiteracy to keep the people in check while looting their resources.., sponsoring wars while assassinating pro people leaders! They killed Sankara and Lumumba, NOT The Chinese! They imposed Bokassa and Mobutu, Not The Russians! They encouraged apartheid till it ran its full course! Almost 5 centuries of contact between the West and Africa has yielded nothing for the mother continent. Let's try something new, afterall we are already down, so why fear further falls? 6 Likes |

Rugaria: You even forgot to mention they were the people that imposed Buhari on Nigerians, all as a way of keeping Nigeria down and being led by dunces. Can you see why Buhari immediately supported them in condemning Russia, without first looking into the matter and taking a stand that enhances Nigeria's prospects. 3 Likes |

OfoIgbo:I'm happy Buhari did so. Obviously, his British handlers gave him the matching orders to do so. At this stage of his presidency, if the West tells him to jump, Buhari will yell "how high"? At this juncture, dude is desperately ready to do anything to get the support of the west behind his tribal candidates for the general elections.. But by going against Russia in such a brazen manner, what he has done is to make himself their enemy somewhat. .. The Russians in particular and the Chinese by extension are taking notes. They will come for him and his type when the appropriate time beckons. The world is slowly moving back to a multi polar world and taking sides so flagrantly on critical global questions, is not a sign of inventive leadership.. 2 Likes |

Rugaria: Most of the Chinese projects are loans which are very likely unpayable in the foreseeable future. You will be alive when China takes direct control over the economies and governments of a couple African countries. China isn't investing here out if altruism. Belafonte:If they West spent a fraction of their African loot over 3 centuries to help build some of those projects, maybe there will be no need for the Chinese loans by now.. Nobody says that China is the newest father Christmas. What we're saying is that there's a determined intention on their side to help bridge the infastructural gap in the continent an that's very helpful.. 3 Likes |

Rugaria: You're missing the point of the bigger picture. Both the west and China are primarily concerned about resources exploitation in Africa The cardinal difference between western and Chinese approaches is that while the west are saidfaird with indirect influence while they can get resources out, the Chinese want direct control over those resources. The west favours imperialism, the Chinese want direct colonialism. So, while the west didn't do as many infrastructural projects, Africa still largely was in control of her destiny; the Chinese on the other hand have your balls in a vice. Be prepared to see direct Chinese control of a couple of Africa's major assets in the coming years 1 Like |

Re: Russia And China To Advance ‘fair World Order’ – Moscow by Rugaria: 12:56pm On Mar 31, 2022 |
Belafonte: You're totally wrong. Seems you have bought much into the negative western propaganda against Chinese presence in Africa. Agreed; No nation goes to another nation to play father Christmas. Maybe it was only Nigeria that was pursuing a tactless foreign policy goal around Africa under the ruse of being the "Giant of Africa"... Otherwise, every countrys commercial presence in another country is mostly driven by the need to make gains. That's given, so to that extent it should be understood that the Chinese are here for business and to make gains. It's left for the host country to calibrate her trade negotiations and deals in a way that favors her interests... That said, what differentiates one big power in Africa from the other is the motivating spirits behind their different foreign policy pursuits. In Africa, the West has been acting like brigands. Go to French west Africa and see exploitation. France lifts uranium without paying nada to Niger. Steals oil from Gabon Chad and Cameroun while the people suffer, without putting up any projects there.. Since the Reagan day, the West has been trying to undermine the abilities of different African states to solidify state institutions. Whether it's in Central Africa republic or Congos or Burkina Faso or Ivory coast or Niger, Cameroon and Chad, it's the same mindless subversion of the local political process to foist dubious characters on the people as leaders. The West has gone on to assassinate endless political leaders across the continent, directly.. That's not just neocolonialism, that is pure racism masked as legitimate foreign policy pursuits.. On the other hand, the Chinese have been busy here looking for all sorts of mining licenses. They don't kill to get it. They don't organise coups to get those. They don't start tribal wars or sponsor bloody conflicts like the British government did in Nigeria to get so. They do what other countries do; negotiate and walk through the system to get what they want! Do they bribe? Maybe. Do they use dirty underhand tactics? Maybe. But atleast, they make efforts to improve the lots of the locals. If The Zambian or Nigerian government wakes up today and ask the Chinese to leave, they will. Try that with the West and a colonel in your Army will overthrow your government in 3 months time,.. As far as I know, the Chinese have a very strong policy against the invasion of other countries since their revolution. They can't be caught doing what France did to Gbagbo in Abidjan or NATO to Gadaffi.. They were invaded and humiliated a lot in recent history and they consciously try not to do this abroad... 2 Likes |
