Well I can’t be a feminist because I don’t believe in equality, if I’m dating then he must surely be responsible for some of my needs and when married then he’ll be TOTALLY responsible for all of my needs. Can't go over it but at a point during an argument, she said my pop was a rapist. I replied that's fine he is a rapist and her mum was his last victim.

Then she asked "are you threatening to rape me? "
I replied "why would I threaten to rape you when I can have you for as low as #100"

Next thing, she picked up the mic, and announced I had just threatened to rape her.

Infact, I didn't leave, I was kicked out promptly even when people asked her to provide evidence. She kept screaming that I deleted it.

Feminists are scammers. they claim they want equality. But they still expect a man to spend on them. they say they want certain jobs but you will never see them in sewage cleaning, underground mining and garbage collection. Feminism in the western world has led to the destruction of the family structure with divorces and unstable children all over.

Feminism should be healthy and not toxic. The essence of feminism is to champion for the welfare of the womenfolk, but some misplaced folks have turned it into a very unfortunate, unproductive and a failed opposition to patriarchy.

African feminism is a joke, you can't be begging and be parading yourself as feminist. Most African women lack foresight to be independent economically and culturally, they depends on men to fund and bankroll their lives. How many African feminist are paying child support? How many African feminist quit their home or share their property with their estranged husband after divorce?

I promote humanism and I am concerned about humanity, not gender chauvinism. Personally, I can't be close to any feminist, it's sickening. I am not an fan of patriarchy either.

In as much as I don't like feminists, the only feminist I would listen to and take serious is a woman like Chimamanda Adichie. Why?

She is a happily married, internationally recognized, career successful woman. She has a lot going for her, therefore, her stance on feminism comes from an unbiased and unemotional point of view. I have never heard her talk about men in a disrespectful and condescending manner. And she champions feminism for what it should be not what she wants it to be.

On the other hand, we have a lot of bittered, frustrated and angry ladies who hides under the umbrella of feminism to spew and express thier hate and disdain towards the male folk. This is due to past disappointments, and the fact that the men they want do not want them.

Another angle is that, feminism blows hot and cold. You want equality without wanting the responsibility that comes with it.

Feminism isn't about sharing of bills but equality of rights and status.

I just see them as a frustrated beings, sad and broken.

As usual, shut down the debate by saying she's promoting "racist" beliefs. Why do you believe no black person can be a Republican or espouse conservative ideals? Why not call her a Homophobe? You liberal folks expect everyone to espouse your beliefs and ideologies. No, it's not done that way and is antithetical to your assumed liberal notion of "everyone is free to do whatever they like". Whatever Candace's views are, I posit that modern-day feminism is the greatest scam ever perpetrated of which they're no more feminists but misandrists. Folks who demand rights but avoid accepting responsibilities.

P.S. Previously, I espoused the beliefs of feminism (my posts' history attests to it) but with what I have seen, read and researched, no more. I cannot be part of a movement of toxic people who are angry every time, espouse hatred against another gender and fellow women who prefer the traditional way of life. Worse still, these misandrists never take responsibility for their actions!

Mistake #1: Modern day feminists don't want to accept responsibilities for actions taken. They love rights but not responsibilities.

....and this is the problem I have with today's feminism. People should be appointed to positions not because of their gender but what they contribute and their worth. It is mediocrity to force companies to employ females because of gender parity even when they are not as qualified as the other gender or the pool is small to pick from. Ditto with political positions, a woman who wants to run for office should do so and not expect voters' approval because "I'm a woman". Earn the voters' support and not affirmative action.

During the Google and James Damore debacle, it was discovered that there are fewer women in tech, and as such, tech firms should employ more females. But this is wrong as it breeds mediocrity, whereby firms have to keep slots for females because of gender parity and not a meritocracy. Few females are opting for Computer Science degrees juxtaposed to the male category (culture contributes to an extent); how then can companies employ enough coders and programmers (not Gender Studies graduates) to be the same as males?

By the way, we've many females preachers, inheritance is culture-specific and is changing (The Supreme Court did something on that esp for the Igbos circa '03)
