Donsheddy: We are not even talking about Presidential sits now. Lol, do you know how many women have been brushed aside in politics just because they are “women” Gov Wike said something related to this one time, he said “Women have no business in the affairs of Men” and the rest of his councils bursted into laughter. Bihari also said “Women belong to the kitchen” and majority agreed with his statement. In a country like Nigeria , you can’t contest for a political position without having a backup from a “godfather”. And non of them are willing to give women positions at all. Have you noticed the decline in the number of women in the House of Representatives? Women aren’t allowed in and that was why they were asking for “special sits for women” at least if you people won’t let women run for political positions like the male counterparts then they can atleast be members of the parliament through “special sit” so they can also contribute but the bill was rejected. These people keep blocking means for women to come into political positions except obviously for the north. 2 Likes 1 Share |

the earliest way to start a nuclear war is to have a female US president and a female Russian president the equivalent of putin and let the US president call the Russian president an ashawo and let the Russian president's husband be secretly fantasizing having an affair with the US president then let all hell break loose! but that won't happen thats y men were created to keep d balance and on leash this emotionless cold bloodied spescies |

Too many Nigerians will not. Because of religious faith. Religious faith which drags them down. They drag others down with them in one Nigeria indivisible. Okonjo Iweala should have been next president of Nigeria, if not for ethno-religious bigotry of too many people in Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Heathrow44: Not necessarily so. There are a lot of countries doing well that have women as president. The issue is not to elect a woman that works with emotions. There are men who acts like a woman, those shouldn't be allowed close to the corridors of power. As someone mentioned earlier it's only Late Dora and Madam Okonjo that are capable of running things. Presently in Nigeria I can't even mention any female gender in the political environment that equals or even surpass those mention Amazons. 2 Likes |

Simran94:Werey, you no get any other examples than that of New Zealand, have you read about her? I doubt so, she's different from women like you, that wants to eat their cake and have it. Most women in those foreign nations you're referring to are brains, they're different from y'all here that believes it's manipulation that'll get you there, probably sleeping with old male politicians for seats, blackmailing men to score points instead leave good example in the community, start from the scratch, present obvious evidence that you have the good interest of the masses in mind and see how people will troop in to put you in places. 1 Like 1 Share |

tollyboy5: And you score the highest upvotes on this. Shows that Nigeria is not going to remain one for too long. There are many Nigerian groups who will vote a woman to preside over them, if they consider her the best of the candidates. 2 Likes |

No I cannot, for now. Nigerian women are so irrational and emotional when it comes to critical decisions. Unlike women in the West who have proven to be dependable and less of a rash, Nigerian women have been very dependent, scheming and erratic. Nigerian women will not even vote for fellow women, so why should I? They don't even trust themselves, yet they want me as a man to trust them with my destiny?! Until Nigerian women change their world view, I will continue to hold this opinion and act on it! |

Simran94: you can't say women aren't in..... who is stopping them.... even the men get backlash from there fellow men... that's why it is called politics..... I remember when trump was going all out for that there house leader I can't remember her name..... there's a decline because none is showing interest whatsoever..... those that got there they didn't just wake up one morning and got to those positions without fighting for it..... wike is the governor today, you know the kind of battle and opposition he faced just to get there, obaseki, amaechi, umahi, nobody got there without putting in the works.... the day women realizes this only then they can get relevant in scheme of things..... 1 Like 1 Share |

Donsheddy:Actually, women are being stopped. As long as you have the North in Nigeria, the political ambitions of Nigeria women would always remain limited. Can the north vote for a female president? An ordinary bill to allow Nigerian women given citizenship to their foreign husbands was denied. 1 Like |
