daveP:I said Championship coach. A championship coach should be employed to coach us as a part time job. He can work with a good local coach as assistant to do some of the intensive less technical jobs. |

Suddenly Ghana Now stand a chance against Uruguay and Portugal to qualify ,no be juju be that ? They are saying this just to justify Ghana winning naija and nothing much Nothing against Ghana as I want them to even scale through, but I know my people here ,once Ghana wins or draw against Uruguay they will tell you why naija could not win them 7 Likes 1 Share |

Mujtahida: There are many factors that contribute to a team's success. It's simplistic or naive to say humility alone guarantees success. The context of my statement was a response to someone who mentioned that a coach like Quiroz is too defensive for the attacking talents we parade. We presently have decent players but not in the right balance. Too many forwards...a very lean midfield...fairly Okay defence.... an ongoing goalkeeping crisis. A pragmatic coach might just be what we need now. The proponents of Jogo Bonito have adopted a more pragmatic approach in recent times which I think in part is due to the lack of players in the class of their golden generations. During the 90s, we produced four different winners of the APOTY award. Only one Nigerian has come close to winning the award in the last 18 years. Perhaps this is only indicative. Nigeria of the 90s was dominant and set a benchmark in terms of results and performances which I think might be difficult to replicate with our current set of players. My opinion. 5 Likes 1 Share |

That’s to show some groups are hard. Denmark is another tactically sound team. If any of these teams catch Nigeria, the beating ehn. Waiting for Portugal v Senegal friendly 2 Likes

andrewbaba44:we ghanaians know that this is the weakest ever ghana team to qualify for a world cup but i think there is time for improvement with upcoming friendly matches and afcon qualifiers but guess what uruguay arent who they used to be also, as for portugal they have world class players but do not play well as a team... Korea will be our first ever asian opponent at a WC but we have a strong record against them... From now to november, alot of things can change both positively and negatively so lets wait and see. 9 Likes |

Also, both Portugal and Uruguay aren’t very reliable, they can fall hand anytime |

leathalbeast: I don't agree. This Ghanaian side is a good team. U guys just didn't want to hear any stories about the AFCON exit but Dede Ayew's Red was criminal and I don't think Comoros beats ghana 11 on 11. Once Ayew returns I expect an even better attack. The defense with Amartey leading is very solid. Midfield will be as good as many at the WC, iddrisu Baba was even supposed to replace Partey at atletico. If u guys go in there with the right mentality anything can happen. 9 Likes 1 Share |

The Super Eagles lacks a leader! Rohr was right. We do not have players who can single handedly win a game. Players in the calibre of Jay Jay, Kanu Nwakwo, Sunday Oliseh, and the irreplaceable Vincent Enyeama. Rather than than allowing this to sink in. We ve sold lies to ourselves and we ve projected it to the lads. Reason why players like Moses Simon, Osihmen, Chukwueze etc felt they can pull it alone. We went into the double legged game counting on a debative individual talent rather than a collective team effort. Missing out at the world stage is painful. This hurt will linger to the end of the tornament in December. What a long year ahead for true Eagles supporters. 2 Likes |

Unpopular opinion, Rohr, though not a sound tactician, should be offer a position of a chief scout for the National Teams. Man seem to have Nigeria at heart. His post world cup qualification interviews are touching. Man sounds like someone who is adopting Nigeria as his second country. Amaju, pending the glass house election later in the year, should stick to administration and stop canvassing for foreign borns. He sucks at it. Iwobi's moment of brilliance against Zambia in 2017 WCQ keeps playing in my head. V. Moses, Iwobi, Balogun and Ekong have been the biggest steal in the last decade. Others haven't really lived up to expectations 1 Like |
