Generally to all who applied last year, you have taken the bold step and I believe your admission letters are being prepared. I wish I was here earlier to advice during the admission rounds, nevertheless like they say "better late than never".
Am sure most of you had multiple applications, because not every where in Norway is "okay" from my experience. Just like Nigeria, location plays a big role, you can't compare Lagos to Kwara or ebonyi (I mean no disrespect).
Thus, if you have applications sent to UIO,OSLOMET,UIS,UIB,NMBU maybe NTNU and UIA kindly prioritize accepting their admission over any other schools. These areas are developed or in close proximity to developed cities.
Please if you will borrow, go for interest free loans (it could really be difficult in the first 3months of your stay getting a job especially if you're not staying in Oslo or Stavanger).
In all, Norway is a good place and I will encourage anyone to come but have a "plan" (it's not so easy staying back after graduation tbh).
This is my little inexhaustive contribution. I'll try to reply some "important" questions because most of the questions asked here have already been answered in the thread, some people just find it difficult reading previous pages.
Cheers!!

Bro I got Nmbu admission.
Please do you know of any grp for Oslo students or maybe Nmbu students. Possibility Nigerians in Norway. I feel like I am isolated here oo....help me

Congratulations to all those who got admitted and were able to successfully transfer the money. Try and buy all that you need before coming most especially those coming to Stavanger as things here are really expensive. Try and book for your flight asap.
Are you still in Norway bro?

Got my admission letter 2 weeks ago. Still trying to decide between Norway and Germany though.
I think you should contact the coordinator of the international programs for more information.

Thanks for the reply. In your case did you apply for early admissions or just the regular way.
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Ayodeji1998: 10:54am On Mar 31, 2022
You can't apply for early admission, the school gives you early admission mainly because of good grades compared to others who also applied .

When you book flights early you get cheaper deals .. but I won't advice on booking your flight yet till at least you have submitted your documents at VFS office

It was on the 23rd of this month..
The admission is not issued at once, I saw another platform where someone got his admission offer in February for same University of Stavanger.

A quick one please. That small clause in udi site where they stated

.. that the circumstances in your home country must indicate that it is likely that you can return home when you have completed your studies.

Please can someone explain this. Like what documentation prove are we to show? How do they judge this. Basically explain please.
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Ayodeji1998: 1:23pm On Mar 31, 2022
Normally it takes 10-15 working days to get your study permit. However because of Covid they stopped processing student permit for a long while and they resumed in July.so when they resumed there was a lot of backlog . I submitted my documents in May at vfs office got my study permit in July but to put into perspective they were really fast when they started processing again because a very large amount of students got their study permit in July last year irrespective of when you submitted your documents

If you are to going for a masters you don't need to worry yourself about that just submit the required documents . If you are going for bachelors there's a very high change you won't be granted visa but people have gotten visa for bachelors before so I heard but the chances are really slim

Hello, I just got admitted to university of Bergen.
Please is there a WhatsApp group for UIB applicants that I can join?
I really need this to guide me through visa application process. if you’ve also been admitted to the school, do reply so we can work together.
Also, is Bergen an accommodating city for international(black) students?
Thanks everyone for your response
