Please I heard starting from April, pcr test is no longer a requirement for fully vaccinated travelers... Can anyone confirm this? Also, does that mean that pcr won’t be required to board flight in Nigeria and we won’t also be asked of it when we land in Canada? Please this is the link I got the information from https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada#pre-entry-testing |

zmande:you need to show receipt of the transaction. Yes do a gift deed and also state what you gave her money for if it’s living expenses etc also make sure in your gift deed it’s written that the gift is irrevocable and you hav no claim whatsoever to the said money you have given her |

Semtu:Yes, what you heard is true... Fully vaccinated travellers don't need PCR test to enter Canada. But you must still fill the arrive can before you travel. Concerning boarding from Nigeria, it is not required as well... In fact, Nigeria government as well recently mentioned that fully vaccinated travelers don't need the test to enter Nigeria, so that means no airline should ask for it before boarding, only if you proof you're fully vaccinated. 2 Likes |

dbeautyful: Nope. The 0.00301880 is the CAD value of 1 NGN. Hence, it means that the rate is approximately 332/$ (Multiply 0.00301880 by 332, it gives you 1.000...) So, the rate is 332/$ not 301/$. In addition, what the VOs basically do to convert the available funds you provided in NGN to CAD is that they multiply the present rate (which is 0.00301880 in this case) with the total amount you provided in naira, that will give you the total in CAD. You can do that as well. 1 Like |

I typed and posted this thing before but anti spam bot banned me *side-eye* A little background, I applied for a course unrelated to my previous or current work experiences. It is related to my undergraduate degree but I have a 12 year study gap… I applied to 1 school, 1 course, 1 country. Basically Put all my eggs in canada’s 1 basket. Here’s my timeline Submission- 3rd December, 2021 Upfront medical - 22nd of December (initially wanted to wait for medical request but I got anxious and mailed e-medical sheet on 17th of January) Medical updated to pass 18th of January,2022 Eligibility began- 25th of January,2022 BVL and PPR- 1st of April,2022 Documents Submitted International Passport data page Statement of purpose (2 pages) Resume BSc certificate & Transcript Birth certificate Letter of introduction from my employer (family business, also served as home ties) Current US visit visa page (this section was automatically generated based on questions I answered in the form) 3 Previous Canadian visiting visa pages Previous and current UK visas Proof of funds Letter of Sponsorship (explaining our relationship, his work history, and the attached documents) My bank statement (applicant) Bank Statement Nigeria and US (Sponsor aka father) Investment statements Property title My first semester tuition receipt After submission, medical update and eligibility … Silence. I ordered cbsa/gcms notes in jan,it came out in February. Pre-assessment notes said “further review of fathers first”… I assumed it was review of my dads first bank statement. I panicked a little after looking at the statement again and saw some unexplained transactions with large amounts but it’s not foreign to the account. I even mailed makano (thank you for responding) as i was drafting the LOE, he thought I should just leave it, I thought about it logically and left it … anyway I left it and kept on the wait. Emailed MP,nothing much different from the notes- “eligibility undergoing further verification”. After that I locked up,middle of March I ordered another gcms notes,it’s still not out yet. I planned a short vacation with my friends and took my mind off, only checked portal once while I was away. I noticed the “date modified” at the bottom of the page changed from 2022-01-18 (date medical passed) to 2022-03-15 I took that as my own ghost update. Lol I really don’t know if it means anything but hey anything to encourage while waiting hey. On the 31st I emailed MP again, the person that replied was asking me for postal code, long thing. On the 1st I tried again,no reply yet. At 7:10pm as I was about to hop into the shower getting ready for Friday turn up, I saw 2 emails pop up on my laptop. I started shaking, wore boubou and ran to look for daddy (he was supposed to be home) to hold my hand to while I opened portal. Lol dramatic much? Now my study permit application watch has ended. I wish everyone waiting the best of luck. I’m not leaving here, as this place was such a big part of my application and waiting process. God bless you all. Thank you makano, Anon123, ketima, teemenzo (for always making me laugh here ) and everyone that answered and encouraged me. 41 Likes |
