Don't forget that most footballers of that age came from poor background. Often the only person in their generation to "make it". It meant that dozens of people were depending on them. Life is not easy. Football careers typically last 15 to 20 years. By age 37 o 40, it is over. Only very few investments are actually profitable over a long period of time. Many had no proper education or trained for any other vocation before football. Many got duped by investors or business partners.

People don't just have conscience at all. Those who initiated this thing, can they live in such houses in this present year of 2022? It baffles me some people are saying it's a nice job. That's why those major political parties can just present just anybody in to hope that citizens will manage it like that. These buildings shouldn't be displayed in the social media if they don't want other African countries to laugh at us. This is just to tell you how the political elites view the masses.
