Pearl1910:

Innovation and technology are disruptive.
Go and ask Kodak how business, ask Post Office how far, ask companies that where making typewriter how market.
Technology is changing the world for good.
When driver-less cars come fully onboard nobody will need drivers either, even Uber is investing billions on research and development of that technology.
So my point is don't be caught on the other side of change, nobody can withstand it.

I no but this is gonna be a hard nut to crack because a lot of investors will loose billions of dollars. Again if you're introducing such a tech it shouldn't c9me cheap because comfort is expensive.

Think of the days you've to trek and stand at the yellow cap bus stop from you house, negotiate then they come down to come pick you up but now you don't need to walk out to look for anyone rather they come to you right from the comfort of your house and to your destination. That shouldn't come cheaper than using a public bus that will require you do some distance trekking in the sun or rain.

The cost varies.....meanwhile some cost are fixed.....land useage (depends on source) availability of bore hole or creating one .

Equipment and perishables budget 500k.

For future information ask specific questions and I will answer any I can.

We are in the same boat, and no it won't take 3 weeks, it can take as long as 3 months, I applied for renewal 3 months before the expiry date, it expired yesterday and FRSC is yet to print the card despite me doing it at their HQ in Abuja.

I don't know about Abj but it took me about a month for renewal, but then I used a temporal one which was laminated at their office in Unilag. I used it till I got the original card

If you are renting a space ...rent one with provision for water

The business is lucrative....check around your intended area.....print fliers and big banner to create awareness .

Staff payment is per car structured just like bolt ...they take between 20% to 25% of work done....for example you wash a car of 500 ... 100-200 is for the car washer (depends on your negotiation) some will be experienced in that area and will even pouch customer from their old employer (but be wary of them)

Equipment wise

You need a Gun and pressure washer (budget 80k - 100k)
You need buckets and dish
You will need a suction machine as well (40k -50k)
Generator very important

Consumables such as soaps and other are always brought to work by the car washer (intended employee)

But Most importantly ensure you have a very strong manager, someone you trust, that won't compromise ..those washer guys will collect a job of 1k and say na 500naira and will only remit 500 and still take their agreed cut.

Let me know any area you need advice

I've once worked in a car wash in iyanoba. This is how it works , if u are renting space make it a priority you source for a property that has a bore hole that's one of the major facility that cannot be overemphasized.

2)The next thing you'll need is a portable 150bar car pressure washer with 130k you will get a brand new one. And 2.5 kva generator.

3) You will need to employ two workers for a start, place them on daily pay, each car they wash the company takes a certain percentage. As at that time I worked, normal washing of #500 company took 300 naira and the worker took 200. If a client is washing both engine n inside the charge was about 1500-2000, tho I don't know how it's done now, you will do ur visibility study upon kick off of the business.

2 Corollas just bashed each other.

Eh..Eh...make una dey take am jeje...softly softly... Ehn... Make una dey take am easy. I'm not sure this was an incident in Lagos? And if it happens to be, Aaaah...dem go need cough out the money they have been saving all this while...

Some school of thought would quickly rush and jump on this, with the verse.."Ehn...accident are bound to happen"...indeed I agree, absolutely. But how do we mitigate this occurrence(s)...

"I wan move Lagos" "I wan move Lagos".... See wetin kon move them.... The longer you stay on the road, the more money, more stress and more risks. " Life itself is about risk"...I agree, but you have to take calculated risk that worth taking.

This piece is not to discourage anyone, but my overview overtime concerning this rideshare business is that we Africans, especially Nigeria is not yet ripe for it. Its just an act of bandwagon. Much has been said in the past, in which I wouldn't want to bore you with much stories, in other not to stir the hornets nest. But I'm glad, individuals are beginning to look inward in other areas such as : Car wash, bikes to mention a few.

I'll implore Drivers to take a lot of rest, especially if you drive in Lasgidi. Be conscious of your mental health as well, if need arises, take a cursory look about your entire life disposition, a rethink might be imminent. In other to venture into New life challenges that would make life more worth living.

All the best o...

When I had alternator and Kickstarter problem I was already pricing battery before I realized it’s not battery.
And before then I changed battery almost every 2yrs
