are you people joking? James is stationed high up the pitch to stretch play, that is one of the gambles you take when you play a 3-4-3 against a 4-3-3 . Those were lightning attacks even the likes of Zanetti wouldn't have recovered.

I have seen posts on Twitter blaming Silva for that first goal lol. Everything was inch perfect from Vinicius and Benzema - the curve of the cross and the mad head finish.

Our approach in the second leg should focus on harassing Madrid forcing them to go long and win second balls when they lose it. Azpi and James should start on the right, Chalobah can come in for either of them in the 2nd half. You are correct. A discussion has to be had about Kante. He is becoming a liability to the team. I've always said that his lack of goals and assists as a central midfielder would come back and bite us. Nobody expects goals and assists from only the attackers. Midfielders have to chip in.

Benzema is the difference maker you ask for in games like this, it's only an uninformed person who will call him mediocre player for 14yrs he's been doing his thing and he isn't showing any sign of regress.
Chelsea need a massive clear out, too many system players in the squad and there is a limit to what a coach can do to remedy players with glaring deficiencies. I remember being called names for suggesting that Kante should be sold and replaced with a robust DM sometimes ago, this is the sort of reasoning behind our struggles in this part of the world we allow emotions to overrule our judgements then look up to the skies for succour when we don't get the desired results.
The tie is not over until it's over. The guys should go all out in the second leg and attack Madrid like wounded lions as there is no point in hiding when you are 2goals down already.

While I completely agree with you that we need change some of our players, the other thing we fail to notice is that Tuchel needs to alter some of his approach when his trailing behind. What is this with excessive ground short passes when you are trailing behind? This man was losing against man united with his PSG side and verratti and Thiago were busy carrassing the ball at the back. This man could sign Paul scholes who greatest strength is long passes and he will suppress them by asking them to always give the nearest man the ball. We can sign good players but if this guy doesn't change some things, we would only be good for second place finish in the league not actual winners.

Cmon man, I know Silva is your man, but that 2nd goal was his fault hands down. He did not contest that ball at all. If he had rattled Benz small, maybe, just maybe Benzema would not have been positioned well to nod the ball down.
