How Was Mathematics To You While You Were In School? by sorosoke101: 7:33pm On Apr 06, 2022
My personal experience was that i was not a prodigy in mathematics while I was in secondary school, even in my primary school days I wasn't good, in fact I hated that subject with passion. The funniest part was that I had B3 in mathematics on my WAEC result. Mathematics to me then was like when you were told to come and watch plate while you were busy watching your favorite cartoon. During my undergraduate studies I did take some math courses which were compulsory, I could tell you it was hell for me because I had carryovers.

I hated that subject even to the dream world, and I was never in love with any teacher that teaches mathematics. I just hate them for nothing.

When I entered into the university to study Sociology and Anthropology, I learnt that I am going to statistics which is part of mathematics. That was when it dawn on me that for me to graduate at the stipulated time, I need to sit my ass down and understand social science statistics. Thankfully, the lecturer that handled the course was so good and make things easier for us.

All we needed to was to understand the formula, know it off hand then we are good to go.

Even though a lot of my colleagues failed these statistics courses, both departmental and faculty, I was soaring on the eagle wings. I knack A like say na my birthright.

Till date, Statistics was one of the easiest course i offered during my undergraduate days.

It was like arabic.
My JSS1 maths teacher loves facing the board, writing as she's talking (explaining) without looking back.
In her mind she assumed we all grabbed it.
I went to a public school.
That was how I couldn't catch with maths.

It Wasn't About Public School-cowpell Competition Was Introduce For Secondary Students On Mathematics, Some Public Schools Participate Yearly But Yet Some Private Couldn't Because They Couldn't Find Representatives.

PUBLIC SCHOOL OR PRIVATE SCHOOL ALL NA P-S P-S WHO WAN SABI GO STILL SABI

I did and I am doing bad in it.

It's my fault because I have very low IQ.

I do my best here much than I do in Nigeria, but of no avail...men are created not equals.

Of course you should thank GOD. But I won't.

I can bet that you don't study any harder, you're just naturally blessed(with higher IQ). This is not justice!.

People would higher IQ should have different type of exam.

E.g if I with lower IQ,scored 50/100,it should be plus 40,i.e 90. Therefore I get A.

If you with higher IQ,scored 95/100 it should be minus 15,i.e.,80. Therefore you too get A.

This is justice, because I studied harder. Hard work should be rewarded not smartness, success or intelligence(that are all naturally given not earned).

How do you do it?
I keep wondering if its not the same Brain God gave all of us... undecided.

Though when it comes to theory, people wonder how I grab so fast and already on to the next while they are still battling to comprehend the lessons.

This life no balance.

Mother Nature is the first nepotist, all the rest copy from her.

The has not the same brain as ours,he might be even lazier than us.

But thanks to our dear selves,we do well in theory-while children of the Mother Nature can`t do well.

Thanks to Baba Universe, that keeps taking the glories from Mama Nature's hands to the hands of hard work.
