Of course they are the strongest sef IMO. If you can, get your employer to write you a leave letter stating that you'll resume 1 month after your Couse finishes to a higher position. Not compulsory though. Finian1: |

that POF won't fly , because firstly you are not self-sponsored , your dad is the one to sponsor you and that money doesn't cover all your expenses and that is all in his account , so you are saying he is spending all he has to send you to school abroad , the VO will probably say that doesn't sound like a reasonable expense to make , that is my one cent though , you can wait for other gurus for their inputs too. if your dad wants to sponsor you let him have more than enough like times two or times three sef , and if he is really willing to use all that money for you then chill for like four months and start building your own personal account properly with that money if it is truly for you. Like I said wait for the other gurus though. Adebamfem: |

Good morning colleagues. I am so new here. A friend referred me to this nairaland traveling page. I have been reading messages fir few days now and getting some tips. Though I plan to write my IELTS exam soon for study permit. I need a lot of direction on where to start first . Should I write my IELTS exam first or are there courses I could do in Canada without IELTS? Then what next ? I am a novice here, but I am determined to this course , because I know with the right information, commitment, direction from colleagues here and with God, I will make it to Canada. Please and please I need your help Thanks. |

1. The PGC program (Construction Project Management) is still in the same industry as my MSc Architecture. 2. I have very good experience in Construction Management as highlighted on my CV. 3. In my SOP, I stated that most of the knowledge I have in Construction Management were picked up on the go via experience in the field and that I have no robust education in it especially since the curriculum of an MSc in Architecture didn't go in depth with Construction Management. 4. I highlighted the challenges of Construction Management in Nigeria citing papers and articles written on it. And how I will fit into solving some of the challenges with my new and quality education in Construction Management. 5. I stated how most complex infrastructure projects in Nigeria are handled by foreign experts because of their sound education in Construction Management and how I want to contribute to reducing the over dependency on foreign experts thereby contributing to the Nigerian economy. 6. I added links to several job posts highlighting demand for the role of a Construction Manager with some of them paying in foreign currency right here in Nigeria. So in general I just tried as much as possible to focus the attention of the VO on the benefits of the course I am going for for me and my country. ultrazone: 13 Likes 1 Share |

if you are not going through Nigeria Student Express you do not need IELTS for study visa , and even go get admission most schools just require you to have taken your previous education in English so your weac result should suffice. Fgahandel: |

You don't need IELTS to apply for study permit and most schools if not all sef don't require Nigerian Students to write an English Language Test. So move on to next phase of this process, whatever that is for you. Fgahandel: |

Read the college's refund policy or if you have a representative from the school you are talking to , I am not trying to be negative but just trying to be safe , some schools don't refund tuition , some refund if study permit doesn't go through , some can allow you keep deferring till you get your study permit , so just read their refund policy first and you can go from there . Let me quickly answer your questions based on my experience. 1. You don't need to pay your tuition before your apply. Although, it may boost your proof of funds argument if you do. 2. Of course, you need to detail your financial planning in your statement of purpose. All in all, let your SoP be very compelling that the visa officer can't ignore you. Above all, commit your application to God’s hands, and have faith. It will end in praise for all of us in Jesus’ name. AMEN. Teeunz: 2 Likes |

Isyma: Fanshawe requires you to pay half tuition to confirm your seat. You can use E-Form A from your bank for that. Asper Visa application. Go to page 1 of this thread, you will find the information you are asking for there. Read up the first 3-10pages. Start gathering the documents that relates to you from page 1. All the best. |
