The APC constitution is Ultra Vires to the extent of its inconsistency with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.

But meanwhile, even if there were to be an indirect primaries for the nomination of presidential candidate, Abdullahi Adamu is there to deliver the Amaechi ticket.

My friend, it is too early to cry. There is nothing like ultra vires or whatever here as there is no inconsistency between the APC constitution and electoral act. The law gave political parties three options to use in nominating their candidates and APC choose two of the options. So, where is the inconsistency?

Meaning direct and indirect would go on only when consesus doesn't take place which is normal

Guy, stop embarrassing yourself now. Section 20(2) is only applicable for nomination into councilorship positions, it is not applicable to the president and other elective position. Go back and read again and this time, very slowly.

I like Amaechi and I think he will make a good president, however, he will have to win a competitive primary election to emerge as the party’s candidate. He will never emerge as consensus candidate but there won’t be a consensus candidate for the presidential ticket of APC.

No mind dem. No neutral delegate in his right senses would vote Amaechi over Tinubu because that will be political suicide. It is PDP members that are praying for Amaechi's candidacy. They want the APC to be humiliated next year.
