Always personal assets, if only they knew that many have gotten the secret on how to tackle this refusal reason of personal assets and financial status..

Order for your GCMS notes, you should get your Visa In your re-application..

Peace
Annettevoke:
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee

How do i address this refusal, house pls advise. Was refused today applied Feb 28th.

Hello Olacherry

This has become a norm with recent applicants, I wanna assume your Medical was a requested one and you passing your Eligibility is a good sign..

Be hopeful and positive, it will end in praise..

Peace
Olacherry:
Hello gurus and everyone in the house. I received my BVL yesterday 7th April and no other mail till now. My medical was passed on 5th of April and my GCMS shows that I passed eligibility… just curious that this is a good sign. Anxiety wants to finish me. Do I send mails to IRCC?

You have greater chances of a response when you send to a many as possible..

Some MPs are actually nice and some are not nice at all..

If you lucky enough to send to a nice Mp, then there is no point sending to the other ones that are not nice..

Peace

Can one send message to multiple MPs or just stick to one

Thank you

This is not totally correct though..

You have not seen applicants who still got refused after 11 months of application?

The set of 2018/2019 will tell you about that experience..

Don't be deceived..

Peace
ShowYoung:

You need not panic. PPR is on the way. If they have wanted to refuse you visa, they'll have months ago.

Hello Teeunz

Its not compulsory to pay school fees before applying for your study permit application. Paying school fees isn't a guarantee that you will get your Visa, but you stand a high chance of getting approved when you Pay school fees...

If you are not paying your school fees before applying for your Visa for reasons best known to you, make sure you have more than enough to cover more than you tuition fees, the Visa officers are smart enough to notice that..

You can simply make mention that once you get your Visa, then you will make payment for your full tuition fees...

Peace

Teeunz:
Hello good day everyone.

Please gurus in the house, I need your contributions please,

1. Is it compulsory to pay school fees before applying even if sufficient money is in the account?

2.If I don't pay do I need to mention when I will be making the payments in my sop?

Please I need contributions,I will really appreciate it
Thank you

Good morning colleagues.
I am so new here. A friend referred me to this nairaland traveling page.
I have been reading messages fir few days now and getting some tips.
Though I plan to write my IELTS exam soon for study permit.
I need a lot of direction on where to start first . Should I write my IELTS exam first or are there courses I could do in Canada without IELTS? Then what next ?
I am a novice here, but I am determined to this course , because I know with the right information, commitment, direction from colleagues here and with God, I will make it to Canada.
Please and please I need your help

Its a good sign though, you are closer to passing your Eligibility..

Please has any of you come across this challenge?
My GCMS notes just came in and the pre-assessment reads thus:

"Based on the LOA, funds, and documents provided, PA appears to be a BF student."

What does BF mean?

And what do you think needs to be done ?

For context
I am a second time applicant, reapplied on 30 October, 2021

Hi friends, I am applying for student permit using the new portal and was asked the following questions. I need help in answering them please.

1. Tuition fee (in Canadian dollars) (required)
(This is the total fees to be paid to the school for the duration of the program (all years of study))

2. Room and board (in Canadian dollars) (required)
This is the total amount for food and lodging for the duration of the program (all years of study).

3. Funds available for stay in Canada (in Canadian dollars) (required)

My concern: If I add the total fees to be paid for the duration of the program it will exceed the current funds available for stay in Canada for one year. You will agree with me that it is somewhat impossible to have the total fees to be paid to the school for all the years of study sitting in the account. I want clarification please! Here are my details;
The total year of study is 2 years.
Tuition fees 23000 CAD (one year)
Room and Board: 10000 (one year based on cic website)
Funds Available: 41000 CAD

Looking forward to your response. Thank you all

Na true o. Fall makes sense to give you enough time. Thanks for your candid thoughts. God bless you wella. I will just defer if nothing positive shows up this week.

CentennialGuy:
I didn't defer o. I applied for fall admission. You will never catch me dead applying for any other resumption that isn't fall and I always start the year before. Na just my own personal principle.

If you feel you can finish preparation to travel within two weeks, I will say you should wait and see if your PPR will drop this week. I have a feeling plenty more PPR will drop this week on this thread.

Otherwise defer. I personally no too like to dey rush this kind thing.

Hello Gurus and colleagues, I really need advice on what to do:
I've completed the forms: IMM 1294e, IMM 5645e, and IMM 5257b. So far, I don't think there are any errors (I hope); however, I'm currently gathering my documents and thought I'd ask for suggestions. Meanwhile, here are my details:

Program commencement date: Fall 2022
Country of origin: Nigeria
Country of residence: Japan
Current job in Japan: PhD student
The intent for moving to Canada: PhD
Scholarship: Full cover + living allowances.
Are funds available? YES (self)
Are medicals done? YES (upfront)

I intend to attach the following documents to my application online and thought I'd seek advice to avoid making any mistakes:

1. My current student ID card in Japan
2. IELTS TRF
3. PhD proposal
4. Bsc transcript + certificate (Nigeria)
5. MSc transcript + certificate (Japan)
6. NYSC certificate
7. Police clearance certificates (Nigeria and Japan)
8. Bank statements
9. Source of personal funds description (No payslips available)
10. Spending plan (1 page)
11. Past work letters (appointment letters, recommendation/attestation letters, promotion letters, etc.)
12. Academic Reference letters
13. SOP
14. CV
15. Academic awards + recognitions
16. Japan residence permit + ID card
17. Gmail conversations with supervisor(s) + School
18. A cover letter describing each document.
19. Birth certificate + LGA ID
20. National ID + voters card
21. Land documents (3 plots belonging to my late father)
22. Letters of financial support (during MSC and the current PhD program in Japan)
23. TAX clearance certificate in Japan

What would you advise? am I missing something? Should I exclude something(s)?
PS: I didn't include my secondary school certificates cos it seems irrelevant.
Also, if you'd like to offer advice discretely, I'd appreciate it if message me via Whatspp at:
[plus two three four, seven zero, six-five, one five, nine zero, five eight]

Really looking forward to a timely response...

In my opinion, you've added almost everything you should, I can't even think of something else you've not added based on your profile... You can just try to proof more home ties by adding applicable documents (e.g. birth cert/passport of siblings, etc)/pictures with your family here in Nigeria. All the best!

Family photos? I think the last family photo we’ve had was in 2008, (I can get those). Plus most of my siblings don’t even have international passports. What would you suggest?
