You don’t need to show POF for two years if you are sponsoring yourself . IRCC requirement is for you to show cost for a minimum of 1 year .

Regards.

This is not absolutely correct.

If you're self sponsored for more than one year program, you need to either show proof of fund for the entire duration of your studies (since you're not relying on the 20hrs/week work allowance to pay your fees) or you can show very convincing proof of source where the remaining year of study will be funded from. It's just a rational requirement.

Don't tell us someone has self sponsored and showed one year fund before. Such person might just be one of the lucky few with very lenient VO.

I wish everyone awaiting approval here success. For the ones that their applications were 'delayed', you'll definitely get there if only you don't give up. Keep pushing!

a lot of people usually show proof of funds for a year plus 10k living expenses (12k if Quebec ) and then source of funds , that is what is required by IRCC and what a lot of people have done and used , even if you have the entire tuition you can show it but if you don't show source of continuous funds your application might still be denied "I am not satisfied the funds is available and accessible " is what your gcms note will say , so the normal requirement is a year tuition and 10k for living expenses , if you have more than that then fine.

Hello Minnienny

Applicants get Visa with Mpower loan, you just have to be constructive and clear with your application..

Peace

Good morning sir.....I'm going for an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology....since my high school graduation I've actually been studying Electrical Engineering at the undergraduate level but with the strikes and uncertainty in the educational sector I'm looking to change and honestly prefer Marine Biology but was made to study Engineering due to some factors outside my control...do they ask for explanations in study gaps for an undergraduate degree....I'm looking at Dalhousie University as my first choice and Guelph and New Brunswick as second choices as they all have marine biology as an undergraduate degree.....and if they do ask for study gaps for undergraduate degrees will the fact that my current discipline and my intended discipline not being related reduce my ask readmission chances?....I'd appreciate any input you give as well as those from anyone who can see this

Thank you Boss for your time! Really appreciate this one.
DestinationCann:
It's visitor Visa.
Student visa always require an admission letter that you don't have.

Usually, primary public schools in Canada don't give out admission unless you are already in Canada. If you go with private, you'll have to show POF.

Do visitor's visa for him. He can attend private preschools with that.

You should consult a lawyer to prepare one for you. A gift deed also has to be notarized.

There are many sample format online (Google it). Your lawyer will probably just download one online and use it. So do it yourself and notarize it.

We are new in this, she also got admission at Salford University in Uk, we are at a crossroads.

1. Canada or UK?

2. What is the visa process for the two?

I need help please

1. Try Canada first but keep UK as option B. Canada is better and cheaper, but its student visa can be very difficult to get. If you get it, luck you. If not, switch to UK. UK student visa is easier. So try the hard and better one first.

2. Google and nairaland will be your friend for those. This thread is for Canada student visa. So read from page 1 to know more about it. Search for nairaland UK student visa to know more about that too.

Hello good morning everyone, a quick question please. I run my dads business with my brother but I don’t receive the funds in my account but directly to my brother., should I include that I run the business without necessarily providing my account statement requiring those business transfers And I have another side business where I receive the money in my own account.., im thinking of stating that I do both businesses but my statement will prove only one.., or should I exclude that I run my dads business with my brother?? Thank you

Hmm...like how much do they have in their account. And how's their application like? I mean, what and what do they included in their application, aside the money to make their application success?

Thanks for your response.
Toceen2022:

I've seen about 3 people on this thread that used it and got approved. But I noticed they also added their personal account with some reasonable amount in it.

Bro, you don't need anyone's help to get PTA. It's your bank that will give you PTA. You need to show your Visa and Round Trip Ticket.

There's no specific amount I can mention, because it depends on 2 things
1. How much loan you receive from Mpower, and
2. The total amount needed for your study.

Here is an example.
If the total amount needed for your study (tuition and living expenses) is $30,000, and Mpower give you everything, then you may show some reasonable amount in your account, just to proof to the VO you have something too. Let's say about 1m or more

We've seen fully funded/scholarship applicants that showed just 150k or 250k and got rejected.

The main thing is, either loan or scholarship, prove to the VO you have substantial amount of money too.

But if your answers to the questionnaire brought out Study permit for your son, just maybe that's what you need for him. I've read somewhere on the Spousal open work permit thread that you don't actually need an admission for your 4- year old to submit his study permit. You might wanna check that out if you want.
Gokoyer1401:
No, I dont have any admission letter for him but he will need to attend pre-primary school in Canada.
Is it suppose to be visitor visa despite the fact that he will live in Canada for 2 years?
