A former Presidential Adviser, Doyin Okupe, has slammed the Africa Independent Television (AIT) for allegedly cutting him off while he was speaking on the Presidential ambition of Peter Obi on the Kakaaki breakfast show on Monday.

Okupe who was one of the first of many aspirants to obtain the PDP Expression of Interest & Nomination forms for the 2023 Presidential race announced his withdrawal 3 weeks ago, instead throwing his support for the candidacy of Peter Obi.

Speaking today on AIT's Kakaaki, Okupe reiterated his support for the South-East and especially Mr. Obi to be supported as candidate of the Party, even reeling out some of the achievements of the man many call 'Okwute.'

In what appeared like a technical glitch, the interview was cut off while he was speaking. Okupe who took exception to the interview been cut short, took to his Facebook page to accuse AIT of 'intolerance.'



AIT's founder, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi is Chairman of the Technical Committee of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign.

Did Saraki also get paid by the Militants for going to meet them inside the creeks, interviewing them and airing the reportage? How much profit was Dokpesi making from practically alienating himself from the 30 governors of other States to focus on servicing just five SS states because for all I can remember, his own Edo State governor didn't need any of those SS interest promotion as Edo was least affected by the oil spillage, invasion by JTF, etc among the SS states?

AIT is big today yet due to huge debt it has not been able to pay one single Kobo as dividend to those who invested in its public offer since 2007, i.e 15 years ago. If Dokpesi's motive was cash alone, he would have rather taken sides with the Obasanjo led FG thus aired anti-SS news and videos and made far more than what he allegedly made from the SS governors and there is nothing any SS people would have been able to do about it. He saw money on two sides but chose the side with the lesser money because he knew that choosing the side with the bigger money would further impoverish his people. That at least is a display of principles.
