Hello all, I applied for SA Business Visa on the 9th of Feb 2022 and in 14 days i was denied visa only on grounds of expired travel date/event date but with the option to appeal within 10 days. I drafted the appeal letter and submitted within the window provided but also under advisement from the Embassy office in Abuja, i submitted another application on the 10th of March and i am yet to get a reply from either VFS nor the embassy of SA till date.

My event date and travel itinerary has again expired. Is it possible that on grounds of the appeal perhaps, i can get a positive feedback on the visa? I am really despondent and frustrated. My sponsoring company are also not happy about the development

Please, does re-application take as long as the initial application for a study visa?
I initially applied on January 6 and was denied in late February. I then applied again on March 24.

Hey man. I was also denied late February and I reapplied early march.

I've gotten response from them that it'll still take two month all things being equal

For a spouse and/or dependent child of a permanent resident, I will advice you to apply for a relative-permit for your wife and daughter instead of visiting visa. You are a permanent residence holder and your family are qualified for a relative permit to join you in South Africa. And these permits are valid for a minimum period of 2 years.

Itinerary is the least on the reasons for visa denials.
I could remember vividly my younger sister applied for SA visitors visa from their collection centre in Port harcourt, it took almost three months processing. Both the Itinerary and even date of return were no longer valid, and still her visa was granted.

fastforward I picked up my passport after 5days and 4months visa sticker ... ( not in Nigeria though )

Your purpose of visit is the main area of concentration.
If you have an invite, the IV should be strong enough.

My Heart and Prayers are with the people of KwaZulu-Natal Province and particularly the folks at Durban, eThekwini municipality. The last 5/6 days have been very challenging and catastrophic due to the incessant rainfall they experienced that resulted into unfortunate loss of lives, properties and infrastructures. As at yesterday, more than 300 people had died. Please let’s pray for our brothers and sisters in this trying times.

For your IV to be strong enough without scrutiny, the sender should attach his bank statement ( either with zero balance or with cash balance), his lease accommodation papers and his residential status.
Your proposed stay should not exceed 14days, ( don't worry, they will give you 3months with 30days stay )
Then you should have ties back in Nigeria.

Deposit of 500k first, no need for document sef from your end.. just ur passport and application form filled with passports. Processing time just 1 week. Nigeria needs to be rescued fast.
