Where were those other coaches when Guardiola was been considered for this plum job? Being considered to coach a luxury and formidable team shows the luxurious and formidable pedigree of the man himself.

How about Hykes that won everything for Bayern and left a good team for pep to make them worse in ucl, is that what you call progress. He had extraordinary players like messi and co at barca and had unlimited funds to spend in a semi final team parading KDB, Aguero, Fernandinho, Kompany. Pep rejected Chelsea and Man U job and was waiting for the next team with excess money and squad to coach, whereas, because coaches like Conte, Klopp, Tuchel, Ancelotti and Mou accept any risky job with troublesome management you term them not at pep level. Before Chelsea got Conte pep said he will need ten new players(that’s overhauling) before he can compete if he is to move there, but Conte came and won epl and FA cup with Moses and Alonso as WB. If anything Klopp should be the one praised or eulogized here because he can turn an unknown or not so good players to quality and compete at the top right from his Dortmund days. Most football owners not using oil block money will like to have a coach like Klopp compared to Pep.

In conclusion, pep is scared of risky jobs because he don’t want to be exposed not that the clubs(Man U and Chelsea) are not massive enough.

No one can rescue a club with bad project etc. A smart coach will not go there, to be burnt alongside a self-destructive club.

This is why Pep will always be the biggest manager ever. Will always be remembered as so. He is quite selective. Not up for any job just for the sake of it.

Ancellloti can hop from Everton to Napoli to Bayern to Chelsea to Madrid in 3 years because he needs a goddam job. He is always sacked and always has to get the next available job no matter the club because he is always in the market looking for job, after yet another sack.
