It might be expensive for you. They are hardly two bedroom houses around the school area. Most are 4-5 rooms. Except you want to get an apartment which will be expensive. Godspeed with your search. tracy0803409: 1 Like |

it's a little tricky because if you were self sponsored you should be good with this profile , but since your sister is your sponsor did you include what she does to make the money , the money left in her account is 9.5 m and if my calculations are right half of that is going to be basically spent on your next year tuition and expenses without showing a proper source of income , it's not about just submitting high bank statement, where did the money come from and is it going to keep coming that way is what the VO checks at times too , you can drop the documents you submitted so other gurus on here can help you check It out and see what went wrong and also order your gcms notes , very important so we know what exactly made the VO say that . tosynn007: |

You didn't state the reason you are going for Bsc, but I will advise you go for a Post graduate Diploma. Also, your Waec certificate is enough except the school is particular about the docs they want from WAEC.. Peace Zinny24: |

Hello Mirakyle Lemme summarise this story in one sentence.. The Visa officer have issues with the source of the funds you declared, they do not see a tangible reason why you wanna spend so much on your proposed course of study(You failed to convince them of the benefit of the course to you and your home country), they believe as a single, you will have no plan of returning because they believe you have no dependents that will bring you back home.. Work on your Study plan , work on convincing the Visa Officer that you readily have the funds for your stay in Canada and work on your establishment here in Nigeria.. There are many single applicants here getting Visa, so sit up and re-strategize.. You should get your Visa if you work on these areas constructively.. Peace Mirakylie: 2 Likes |

Hello everyone, I hope we are all fine. I have few questions to ask; Is it true that it is easy to get a Canadian visa for undergraduate studies (BSc) than a graduate study (masters)? And again, is it true that the denial rate for a Master's study permit is very high as compared to the Bachelor's study permit? Like which one is easier to get? I'll be glad for answers. Thank you all. |

Chubbyface: I'm guessing this is for your Visa application SOP. If you don't have travel history, then don't talk about it. You don't have to be looking for what to write to defend why you haven't travelled before. Rather highlight and hammer into the attention of the VO what the strong points of your application are. Someone with travel history posted their GCMS notes recently and the VO refused their application stating that even though their travel history is a positive factor in their application but when weighed against the negative factors in their application, it doesn't hold water. So focus on the strong points you have. There's always a first time travelling out for everyone and not everyone will have travel history before applying to Canada. 5 Likes 1 Share |

How about if it is a reapplication and it was stated that your prior travel history is insufficient to weigh in as a positive factor. How do you tackle this since you have no travel history CentennialGuy: 1 Like |

I did which indicated my monthly salary of #120k plus a closing balance of over 400k. Honestly, I seem lost coz my sis was my sponsor and paid for my school fees which reflected on the bank statement. Provided 4 c of o also explaining the total yearly rent income . Used my aged parents as a tie home and properties of that of my parents. Felt like I was deliberately refused out of nothing amila20042001: 1 Like |

Please can you all look at this breakdown before I submit. Tuition is CAD 18,000 a year Living expenses is CAD 10,000 a year Miscellaneous is CAD 2,000 a year Total for one year is 18,000 + 10,000 + 2,000 = CAD 30,000 Its for a 2-year postgraduate program. I finished university two years ago and just completed NYSC. I am single in my 20s. Me – I am doing two side hustles. The first is the family business. I was assisting Brother A who runs this business. I used to receive stipend but no more because I moved on to another side hustle which I am doing currently. The second side hustle is with Brother B, he deals in office supplies. For this one, I receive some payment into my account from customers and also my stipend. Proof of funds – [1] Primary sponsor. I am using brother A because he is in charge of family business and owns his own company. I am using his own company statement of account. N20milllion balance = CAD 60,000 (but enough turnover each month). [2] I do not intend to mention Brother B and this second side hustle in my application because Brother A has already stepped in. [3] Secondary sponsor is my brother in-law. He is a businessman, we are quite close and he wants to help me further my studies. I am using his own company statement of account. N27 million balance = CAD 80,000 (but high turnover of hundreds of millions each month). [4] Not sure about using my bank account which reflects payments from the second side hustle with Brother B. This account has a balance of N1.1 million = CAD 3,000(with over up to 4-8millions turnover per month) NB: Also adding our family house (not my property sha) as an asset. Home ties – I am coming back to fully join Brother A in running the family business, he needs someone to assist him with the family business because he has his own company too to manage. I actually like the family business remember I was involved before. I moved to the second side hustle with brother B because I changed location. My question – What do you think about my proof of funds, and being company accounts? Should I add my own personal account – my issue with this is that it shows payments from the second side hustles which I didn’t include in my application. What about using a family house as an asset? How is my home ties? I would appreciate any feedback. 1 Like |

lilangel20: Same thing applies. Just focus on tackling the other negative factors the VO identified. Travel history is just one thing and you are not going to manufacture it over night unless you have money to quickly go to Dubai, spend a few days there and return to apply but I don't think it is necessary even though a friend of mine is currently doing this before submitting his application. There are many other factors that needs to be address to land this PPR as we all know and you can just focus on that. 2 Likes |

Not really, you were not deliberately refused. You're going for a 2 years program and your sister paid for only a semester. She needs to show more commitment in sponsoring your study. She can complete the payment of a full year tuition and transfer the living expense to your account. She should show the source of funds and also show availability of funds for her own upkeep. She no go de chop sand unto say she wan sponsor her brother study abroad On your own part, you can build up your account to over 1 million. Then explain everything explicitly on your SOP tosynn007: |
