I'm sure others may have told you that in Nigeria and most parts of Africa the husband usually pays the rent and provide money for the house needs like food and clothing and hospital needs etc. But of course if the wife is working she can also contribute... it's up to them both to decide that.
Anyway, it's good he's warming up to you by showing you some pictures of his family... maybe as time goes on he will also bring you to visit his family in Nigeria.

And sorry about my English is very poor.
Coz I'm not English speaker.

I really need advice from who is Nigerian(Igbo) and who is marry with Nigerian(Igbo)guy.

I'm married with Igbo guy more than 10years.
We started relationship totally almost 15years.

But I'm still dont know lots of things about Nigerian culture.

Now we are living separate.
Coz he got new work in far place.
That's why he is only pay for house bill where I living.
I also working.
But my wage is very small.

Get new work is ok.

My health is no good.

I told him that how much so hard life.

He can buy air ticket and many gifts for his family but he has no money to take me to hospital.

I recommend you to ask peoples on travel section!
Because I think non Japanese living and working in Japan is maybe different view of Japanese living and working in Japan.

What I know Yokohama is not so far from Tokyo.
And from my experience with my husband, I think language is important.
Because Japan is not English speaking country.
Sometimes he still said, can't read and can't write is not good.

At least if you can speak basic Japanese, it will help you or little bit easy for your life than someone who can't even speak basic Japanese.
