Was it people that were on the train that attacked the train or people that only govt knows where they came?

But was it someone on the train that attacked it? Do those who attacked it care if they have nin or not? Are those in the Sambisa forest interested in having your nin?

how will nin ensure safety? with all the nin, bvn, linking and other shit kidnapping is still on the trust and you have not used those details to get bandits in their hiding place.

Good
Re: Get Your NIN Ready To Board Trains From May - NRC by nextstep(m): 5:22am On Apr 15, 2022
Because the recent incident showed that the terrorists that attacked the train were onboard, right? With 2k, anybody can bribe their way past any NIN check. We've registered NIN for SIM, yet kidnapping on the rise. We've registered for BVN yet fraud on the rise.

Must all of you be daft?how is NIN going to stop terrorists from blowing up rail lines and kidnapping the passengers?

Which smaller crimes? Have the bigger crimes been resolved? Why looking for crimes that haven't been committed when the one that has been committed, u are running away from resolving it? Is it on trains that smaller crimes are being committed? All d smaller crimes being committed in Nigeria is it on train that they were and are being committed? What has the govt done to check them? When banditry was in it's infancy, why did the govt not nip in d bud when it was a smalller crime?

What is the essence of asking passengers to submit their NIN before boarding a train when you can trace their NIN through their phone numbers. Some people get myopic brain sha.

Smaller crimes are also crimes
lots of people die just because our forensics didn't run thorough investigation on cases..

believe it or not the linking of nin to sim cards is a promising development.our only set back in this case is corruption and lack of technological know how.

And by d way, I understand where you are coming from! in sense that the nin submission before boarding the train may not be fully useful in stopping banditry attacks..

but it will contribute it's own share of criminal justice
believe it or not it is a good development
Don't.forget the bandits also need sim cards to make calls. and to get a sim card now you need the nin.

U really haven't answered the questions:

Which smaller crimes? Have the bigger crimes been resolved?

take for example a wanted :
kidnapper,
A serial killer or someone who sells human spear parts.

can easily be redflagged and arrested right there at the train station.

There so many case where a lot of people like that get away and eventually commit few more crime before they are finally apprehended.

I meant that figuratively...
compared to the large scale atrocities committed by the terrorist in sambisa

what do you mean the crime hasn't been committed?.. how does the system, red flag a criminal if he hasn't committed any crime? :/

let get something straight here I am not an advocate for the federal government.and am not here to defend them.it no brainer to know that that our system is currupt

to reduce cyber crimes to a certain level

like I said the problem of our con3 is corruption
and in this case lack of technology know how.

How can u mean that figuratively? Small is small and big is big. How is kidnapping, serial killing and selling human parts smaller than what bandits and Boko Haram is doing?

Series of crimes where committed when the bandits attacked the abuja Kaduna rail. Has that incident been resolved by the security agencies? If it hasn't, then how will enforcing NIN on rail travellers solve smaller crimes?

You are asking: "how does the system, red flag a criminal if he hasn't committed any crime?" I should be the one asking u that question. Once an unknown criminal registers for NIN, will his criminal record automatically enter NIN?

If u now say that "smaller crimes" aren't committed on trains, why the focus on trains? So where are those crimes being committed? Why does d govt not focus on where the actual crimes are being committed instead of chasing shadows? Who will take a bucket to d desert to look for water when he or she knows that u can't find a river in d desert?

If u saying that d system is corrupt, how does NIN now override the corruption in d system and automatically produce results as if there was no corruption? Does NIN control itself?

Is it technology that reduces crime? Does technology control itself? If u say corruption is our problem, will technology override the corruption and automatically start catching criminals? Which technology did sheik gumi use to locate the location of bandits that all the security agencies can't locate? The security agencies negotiate with bandits on phone. How come their numbers and locations haven't been traced using technology?

In addition to cybercrime, nigerians were forced to do BVN because the govt insisted it will use BVN to stop corruption and money laundering. From your perspective, has d govt succeeded so far? Has cybercrime, corruption and money laundering reduced? If it hasn't, how will the govt now reduce crime or achieve anything useful with NIN?

how will nin protect the tracks from being bombed by bandits, after all the bandits don't need to be onboard the train to plant bombs on the tracks.

The NIN is connected to your bank account. They need to know how much money you and your callers have via NIN so they can set the ransom to continue their Jihad. Pantami is their grand patron.
