It can't be funded with form A. I suggest you pay your school fees using form A instead and show POF for living expense in Naira. When you get to Canada, apply for living expenses using form A again. Difference using form A for school fees and Aboki dollar for GIC of 20k CAD is about 2.6M. That difference alone is almost enough POF needed for 10k living expenses using CBN rate. Samxx: 6 Likes |

From all i have read on this thread, the NSE route is no longer effective. People no longer get visas in 20days. Everyone apply normally via the GCkey portal or new IRCC portal All the best Trailblazer21: |

thanks , I am going to pay my first year tuition in full but I also want to fund the GIC , I still have sufficient funds for POF I just want to make an air tight application regarding finances. DestinationCann: |

obaalasepe: You can use wakanow or travelstart |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by DestinationCann: 7:11pm On Apr 16, 2022 |
Again, it's unnecessary. I paid school fees and didn't do GIC but showed POF in Naira for living expenses and my application was approved in less than 3 weeks. Reason I advised not to do GIC at that Aboki rate is so you save more money you won't get a rate close to CBN rate for GIC. Again, It's your application and you can decide to do it as you wish. since you have sufficient funds for POF, Aboki rate shouldn't discourage you. Just fund your USD account and transfer the funds. Samxx: Gic is stress and wasting money to aboki somehow Pay your full tuition fees and show balance that will cover other expenses in your Bank |

I saw a 9 days approval. Didn't submit NSE requirements. Just a normal application. It's hard to tell at times.

|

Oh sure. I am well aware and i didnt see them say it was NSE route too. Also reading through the thread, most people have acknowledged that the NSE route is no longer effective. We all pray for quick processing oh. DestinationCann: |

Yes, but it was not NSE route May God grant us all quick processing times.

|

DestinationCann: From what I saw on Travelstart, it attracts an amount at the point of booking to be able to do that. If you select it, an amount is added to your booking total and you will be to reschedule or cancel without loosing all of your money. 1 Like |

Hello Chechem Your wife being your sponsor shouldn't be a problem, we have seen applicants with sponsors in Canada getting Visa.. You just have to show the Visa Officer concrete reasons that you would come back after your studies in Canada, and this will fly if you have home ties like your Job, investments here, landed properties, companies e.t.c. You cant obviously use your family as home tie, since your wife and kids are in Canada.. And please do not try to hide the fact that your wife is in Canada cos they already know, dwell more on your other home ties and use them to convince the Visa officer that you will surely return back to your country (Even though we know you wont come back since your wife is already there).. Spousal permit is another route you can explore.. Peace Chechem: |

Hello Joedave Your sponsor will have to submit his/her SOA, it is very compulsory, you cant avoid it.. You can do a Deed gift from him and if you know you have the required funds in your statement of account, then you can apply as a self sponsor, since you are doubting his own statement of account.. But note that you cant do without submitting your sponsor's statement of account for proof of funds.. Peace Joedave25: |

They didn't have to say it. There are some things they did that's similar or even more than NSE requirements but then, I'll leave everyone to do what they believe works. Too much words don't fill up the basket. Wishing everyone expecting PPR a positive response from IRCC kweje: |

Na so. I have personally decided that I'll fund this Canada waka with CBN rate all through. I won't buy Aboki dollar ooo. Difference is annoyingly much!! I really don't know why we have Aboki rate and it's that high!! KellyKk: |
